Yep, don't you just feel oh so safe downtown?  Between that shooting at Bombers, the gunman at KFC at the time of day when families with children MIGHT be eating there (of course, I would NEVER take my children down there), the gunman at Cornells, and this (today's TU)

Quoted Text
The Schenectady County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of a woman who died in jail on Feb. 9.Latisha Mason, 27, of South Norwalk, Conn., was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest in her cell at the Schenectady County Correctional Facility on Wednesday, then subsequently pronounced dead at Ellis Hospital, according to authorities.

Mason was jailed after a third-degree burglary arrest on Feb. 4, said an officer at the correctional facility. According to public records, she has an extensive criminal record consisting of offenses in Connecticut ranging from possession of narcotics, larceny and six instances of failing to appear in court.

According to a story in The Daily Gazette, Mason's Schenectady arrest occurred when she refused to leave a Subway Restaurant on State Street and attempted to commit a theft after the restaurant closed.

Yep, downtown attracts the cream of the crop - drugggies, shooters, all kinds of criminals

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

That Subway was also officially opened by Mayor Stratton. Some wag joked that Schenectady is the only city in America where the Mayor attends a Subway opening.

I wonder if when he waved to the crowd, he was singing that annoying jingle.

But he cared a lot! About the army, navy and marines. Never about the residents. About feathering his own nest. Wonder how long before he follows his pal Eric Ely and exits stage left? The Subway is an important focus of the efforts of the unified County redevelopment team headed by Bozo the Clown.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
