Another Savage/Death Ray production! Working together works! For them never the taxpayer. The DEMS were supposed to move the County Building to that site. Then the DEMS were going to move the Family Court to that site. Maybe Mercury Morris can open a theatre/coffee house over there?

Nobody mentions another huge building off the City tax rolls nor the 500 employees from Trustco that moved to Glenville. The DEMS never subtract job losses they only multiple job gains. Don't except to much from this report. They got completely snookered by Death Ray on The Big Hose. After "finishing touches" it was going to open he repeatedly promised.

The Big House loss, the former Van Dyke owner (absconded with close to $300K in Plex money), the Gillette House which took over $300K from County taxpayers for a Chamber of Commerece/Visitation Center...it's now a bagel shop, Key Bank off the tax rolls, Villia Italia off the tax rolls, Marcella's off the tax rolls, Proctors off the tax rolls, MVP off the tax rolls, tax breaks for decades to Paul Mitchell & Pinhead Susans & Bombers & every downtown business.

Hundreds of empty homes and buildings, yet a brand new DSS building goes up on Broadway. Hundreds of empty locations, yet a new nursing home is being built. An empty Armory no one will buy, a relocated YMCA that the Plex can barely bond.

89 City workers were to be laid off under the budget, yet only 3 are let go. The Schenectady leaders are running amuck.

Let's face it, the last time Savage was on tv...well that commercial didn't go so well.

What do you mean? She almost broke 40% in Schenectady County! Working together works! To have the highest taxes and worst services in the Nation. The best thing would be if they followed Joe Allen off to Florida. One DEM down-7 more to go.

It will be shown sometime, probably twice, during their 5 pm to 7 pm news on the following day.  That's what they do.  And also once or twice the morning after the 11 pm report.

Who knows, maybe Ch 6 is following these boards.  And since all of us, except for one, tell the truth AND we provide undisputable, undeniable truthful facts, Ch 6 was probably getting very enlightened to learn some truths about misuse of taxpayers money.

I haven't seen the preview, but the description sounds interesting

Worker layoffs.  Wait until you see the "shell game layoffs" at the state level.  Layoff 1000 hire 1200.  Political math 101

The Governor has stated over and over again how the taxpayers have been cutting their expenses due to the economy, yet the State won't do the same. It's even a more blatant disregard for the taxpayers in Schenectady. Just the fact that Olsen found 'other open jobs' for the workers he was to lay off - well, that's pretty backhanded.

Even BEFORE we talk about lay offs, why hasn't the City taken away the free cell phones and free City vehicles for those employees who live in other towns? How about the LEG doing away with their sweet health insurance benefits? The County taxpayers pay each member of the LEG a minimal salary AND thousands of dollars in health benefits. Van Norden's health-insurance-for-life-deal with the Mayor?

Bottom line, the City and the LEG have misused taxpayer money and continue to do so even in light of a State-wide recession. They are not so much leaders as they are theives.

This might be about the abandoned "Arts Center"@440 State part of the Proctor's empire. Both Death Ray and Mercury Morris have repeatedly stated a private company was looking and a deal was "imminent". That was 3 months ago. Anything that gets any Proctor's property back on the City tax rolls AT FULL ASSESSMENT would be welcome news.

I think it is about way more money than that and about 5 or 6 years.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

And why hasn't the Stratton engaged his LOL team to take away the tax exemptions for the rich businesses downtown?

Saw the preview, looks like that building on Erie Blvd.    Socialist Savage was shown in a quick preview clip saying the taxpayers would see a return.  Can't wait to hear what that means.

DV, can you ask your girl Susie where she learned math?   How is it a return to the taxpayers when they pay multimillions to the owners AND exempt the properties from taxes, thus the taxpyaer have to pay on top of that.    And 81 cents on a $20.11 dinner isn't going to make even a teeny dent in the the debt to the homeonwer taxpayers.

Let's hope this has a much more bite than the last investigation by CBS-6. They let Death Ray and lie and steamroll all over the place with his happy talk about the imminent opening of The Big Hose. No follow up, no one was fired, nobody knew from nuthin.
