Snow cancels trash collection in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY -- The city and the village of Scotia are suspending trash collection Wednesday because of the snowstorm.

Regular collection in the city's District 5 has been postponed to Thursday, officials said.

Tuesday's collection will continue as expected.

Collection in District 1 will be on Friday and a special collection for District 2 will be held on Saturday. Normal service will resume on Monday.

In Scotia, Wednesday services are being pushed to Thursday, with Thursday pickup as scheduled.
