Three people were taken to Albany Medical Center with stab wounds Wednesday and two people were detained by police after a disturbance at a residence on Guilderland Avenue. None of the victims suffered lifethreatening wounds and all were later released from the hospital, Police Department spokesman Sgt. Luciano Savoia said. All three were being interviewed by detectives. Police were summoned to 2122 Guilderland Ave., second fl oor, after a 5:41 a.m. cellular 911 call. No one spoke on the call, but a disturbance could be heard. Dispatchers checked the phone number with previous calls and sent offi cers to the address, Savoia said. Police found the three victims and one man whom they detained. A second suspect fled but police later caught up with him. He and the initial man detained were also being interviewed. Police could be observed in the area Wednesday morning, including around the corner on Hegeman Street. There, they were taking an interest in a parked car. Later, a similar car could be seen on a tow truck flatbed being dropped off in a secure area at police headquarters. Frank Dunn, who lives on the fi rst floor of the building, said, “I was sleeping, I got up and there was just the commotion.” By that time, police were already on the scene, he said. Dunn said he believed his upstairs neighbors, whom he described as young, had lived there for at least a few months. “They seemed like good people, as much as I talked to them,” he said. As for the stabbings, Dunn said, “It’s Schenectady. It’s getting worse. Everything’s getting bad.”
