It's all DEM crony capitalism. One helping the other with taxpayer money, while everyone else looks in the opposite direction.  The small businesses Downtown are struggling to stay open and in one week Morris open's a tax free catering hall and tax free coffee house. Meanwhile the Gazetto gives him front page ads.

It's unbelievable. Small businesses Downtown have to stop being so passive. Throw over some tables and tell these DEM morons they are finished if they keep this crap up. None of them supports this joke Mayor but they need to totally break from the DEM reservation.

They're now going to compete head to head with the tax paying businesses and the non taxpaying non profit will win that battle.

Sorry benny....but even though the small businesses aren't 100% happy with the city........but they too are living off of the taxpayers. Taxpayer money is just being recycled on the 2 blocks of state street. Then entire 'miracle 2 block mile' is solely dependent on taxpayer money.

However.....the liberal socialists have no place else to tap into for more money, so they see the surrounding towns as the next cash cow.

Of course, the coffee over at Villa Italia is still my favorite .. especially with a small serving of gelato.

Another ad. Both Muddy Cup/Villa are completely tax exempt and will be avoided. The best coffee Downtown is Ambition on Jay Street. They actually pay FULL school/City/County taxes. This tax exempt DEM crony capitalist crap has to end.

The good news is that Mercury Morris has his finger in so many pies he has become a total laughingstock. Instead of running one theatre right he implodes dozens of businesses. The private sector/taxpayers have finally awoken to this buffoon. He can't even dress the part. You can fool some of the people some of the time....

Again...........the government officials that support tax exemptions to the 'select few' causing the residents to shoulder the tax burden need to be voted OUT!!

And the 'select few' tax exempt businesses need to be boycotted.

Perhaps THEN they will listen to the over burdened taxpayer!

Landslide Savage should go back to her moronic plans to relocate the SCCC music program over there. Especially now that she's resolved the County Home debacle-lol. If you want to see a group of total DEM stooges look at that SCCC bored. Death Ray, Malloozi, her neighbors-the gangs all there. These idiots can't even put together a bid for the old Armory, across the street. No grease-no interest?

Villa Italia is not completely tax exempt --- it still charges sales tax and passes that on to the county and the state.

Just wondering, after Villa Italia took tax money to move downtown, are they now collecting a large amount of additional sales tax?  Is the amount that they're bringing in substantially more than it was before?  And they are just passing that tax along, after collecting it from their customers, it's not coming out of their own pocket.  Also, they have to collect money for the Metroplex.  I would like to know which one of their competitors will be getting a portion of the money that they are collecting, since there are other bakeries throughout the county that had to collect the same money (and still do) in order to hand it over to Villa Italia.

DV, Villa Italia does NOT charge sales tax.  The government does.  And if you think 35 pennies on a $10 box of cookies is going to rake in millions, you're wrong.

Mallozzi's have enough millions in wealth.  They can more than afford to pay property and school taxes.  Explain WHY YOU believe that people in the city who have to make choices of taking medicines or paying the heat bill should be required to pay the property and school taxes of the multi millionaire Mallozzis.

I am pretty sure that the business is much better in their new location.
