Mark Knopfler has been singing it with revised lyrics (That little sucker with the earring and the makeup - that little sucker is a millionaire..."

If people think that art isn't the next arena after political speech then they got something coming. There you are BoxOsh!t. Suck on that.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Like Huck Finn, the use of the so called derogutory term is done in an artistic manner- it is satirically intended to mock the so-called blue collar guys- neanderthals (insulting in it's own right) who are supposedly knocking musicians and artists. The song is sung from a perspective of these two blue collar stiffs who install custom kitchens, or make appliance deliveries and who are disgusted that people can make so much money and get so many women just by being long-haired musicians making videos on MTV. It became the MTV anthem in a way in the early to mid-eighties. If anything it was a slap at people who thought it took no talent for musicians to perform and who were envious of the success of the musicians! The song uses the platform of people having a conversation

I want my MTV - Now look at them yo-yo's that's the way you do it You play the guitar on the MTV That ain't workin' that's the way you do it Money for nothin' and your chicks for free Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it Lemme tell ya them guys ain't dumb Maybe get a blister on your little finger Maybe get a blister on your thumb We gotta install microwave ovens Custom kitchen deliveries We gotta move these refrigerators We gotta move these color TV's (See the little f*g**t with the earring and the makeup Yeah buddy that's his own hair That little f*g**t got his own jet airplane That little f*g**t he's a millionaire) Gotta install microwave ovens Custom kitchen deliveries We gotta move these refrigerators Gotta move these color TV's I shoulda learned to play the guitar I shoulda learned to play them drums Look at that mama, she got it stickin' in the camera Man we could have some And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises? Bangin' on the bongos like a chimpanzee That ain't workin' that's the way you do it Get your money for nothin' get your chicks for free...

Oh don't be hatin on old Tom .. he's got nobody left to chat with since he destroyed his last hometown forum, that's why he's here, like DVOR to stir the pot, cause trouble and feel "needed".  He obviously takes the short bus for his political views, even today.

Really? really?....no way...WTH....honestly....as hate speech?......the soft headed folks either the offended or the ones who actually make it their mantra
are BOTH wrong....it's a song of expression....I guess the ockhams razor is razing out of the 60's now.....because using language as art came from
the 60's...they lost their tough skin from too much drug use......"we want a commune, but not one we made"

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
