What decision did you make 10- 20 30 years ago that has put you in the armpit that you live in ?   it apparently was not a very smart one- maybe you should have stayed in school a little longer ?  get a better job someplace else- you are now blaming your crappy life on some guy in an office down the street- really ?

Really Somebody? Maybe some of the people in Schenectady lived here for years. Came here in the 1960's and 70's for the GE jobs. Came to Schenectady for its award winning schools (yes, in 1970 the schools were one of the best in the State). Some of us bought homes in the City a decade ago, we pay our taxes, take care of our home and properties, vote in elections.....where did WE go wrong my friend?

The only downfall of this City lies with the corruption of the leaders, the corruptions in the police force and the abuses of the welfare system that have been ignored by both the county and the City. The leaders opened the floodgates for the social service epidemic and the mass amounts of non-profits which suck the City dry. The Metroplex has committed worse atrocities with loaning money which will NEVER be repaid and has made the entire downtown a get-out-of-tax-free zone. Palms have been greased and re-greased over and over again.

You're blaming the wrong people Somebody. The people that do right are being wronged. In November, the leaders which have failed the masses will be hung to dry.

dont think the state level doesn't have anything to do with that either....un-empowering and un-inspiring leaders........
