The towns people are becoming dismayed with the city. The city doesn't address their bad element' issue.....they just deny it and push it over the city line.

I know a young couple who's grand parent just died. This couple has the opportunity to receive the grandparent's house for NOTHING. It's off Michigan Ave. They refused! They don't want to live in the city and also do not want their kids going to the city schools.

What Gemini described is happening in every neighborhood in the City. Even in the former better areas. Upper Union and the GE Realty Plot have had a rash of break ins and robberies. Abandoned homes are all over-which become fire traps.

      This Mayor and Council flatly refuse to knock anything down. Then you get the ridiculous situation where City Council people have to do a housing inventory because the Code enforcers won't. You can't sell-you can't have the assessments reduced-no one wants to send their kids to the horrible schools. On top of the exploding school taxes you must pay private tuition. The residents of the towns have to start demanding an end to Metrograft and the continued waste of millions in sales tax revenue. Everything Downtown is a tax give away with no benefit to County property owners. Resale values are in free fall while unemployment rates for the County are the highest in the region.

Gemini is the pulse of the Schenectady reality. Many parents are afraid of this City and refuse to have their children here. Catholic Schools do EXTREMELY well in the City as those parents who can afford it quickly enroll their children. Drugs and sex offenders are EVERYWHERE and instead of putting harsher laws in place for where offenders can live, nothing has been done. The City doesn't care about childrens safety, the schools are dangerous and no one seems to do anything.

Too bad about the house bumblethru knows about. It will be another 'For Sale' sign in the vast wasteland which was once a nice area.

1) Duh .. of ocurse he has his own show on Talk 1300 and that is when I turn to a different station.
    Most of the rest of the programming is great - from mid morning (starting with FredDicker) and well into the   evening.

People fleeing the city in droves.

He has been a constant cheer leader for Metrograft, for DSIC {where critics and non-DEMS were thrown off the bored by the worst Mayor in history} for Landslide Savage. As long as his nest is feathered he could give a fig about the neighborhoods or the working family in foreclosure because of the record City/School taxes. Pat V was on fire this morning ripping the worst Mayor in history and with news about Landslides latest mess. Focus on Schenectady Paul and Al this is a never ending source of material.

     What the DEM morons are crying about is that their opponents now have a voice.  The DEMS couldn't win dogcatcher outside this County. With CBS-6, The Times Union and Talk 1300 the never ending scandals and one party political circus are finally getting the hot media spotlight they warrant.

AM 1300 shall not play on any radio in my car or house until Vandenburgh apologizes to the people

DV, you're not even a City resident. You don't live here, you don't pay taxes here and the connection you have to the City is that you USED TO live in MP and your Church is here. You leave this City every Sunday. Many of us do not have that option.

I highly doubt that you ever listened to Paul V before but somehow you now want him to stop talking about Schenectady. He's been doing his show for YEARS, talking about Schenectady forever and now you have a problem? Please.    

Tell him like it is Rachael, DV wants to shut Paul V up because he is now telling the world how bad things really are in Schenectady and he has a large audience who listen to him. Schenectady residents must be kept in the dark like mushrooms and fed you know what and they must believe what they are fed.

b) I spend many hours at my church  and in the city ... not just on Sundays.

c)  I have listened to most of the programming on AM 1300 for years -- back when it was on WROW.
     Dan Lynch and Jim Bohanon.   I listened to Al Roney at WGY and now at 1300.    And I have listened
     to Vandenburgh's shows  both on WROW and 1300.    So stop judging me and thinking you know what I   do or do not listen to.

     Furthermore,  I don't object to him or his station talking about issues in Schenectady ... I DO OBJECT TO  HIS CALLING SCHENecTADY RESIDENTS   MORONS.
