Having been at the Town Board meeting when Chief Hamilton made the comment -- the one quoted in the newspapers -- he very clearly indicated that there was NO DISCUSSION of the cuts - that he as the department head was NOT consulted but TOLD that the cuts would happen .. that DelGallo walked in and said "I'm going to cut 2 of your detectives" - period ---and then when the tentative budget was released it cut 3 detectives not 2.
The only ones NOT TELLING THE TRUTH in all of this are Frank DelGallo and Bob Godlewski.
