Jim Fisk host of Breadtime Stories on the Freddie Freihofer TV show from 1956-66 passed away Saturday at 91. A great artist who took a squiggle and created art on live TV. After television, Mr, Fisk went on to found Jimapco the map company that employs hundreds on Route 9 in Round Lake.

Back in the day every child had their birthday party with delicious Schenectady made Freihofer cake on the WRGB show Freddie Freihofer. A great show from the early days of television when everything was not nationally syndicated.

Yanno, I never realized Jimapco was owned by THAT Jim Fisk.

Sad to see another pioneer pass away.

I am not quite old enough to remember the tv show but I did meet Mr. Fisk when he was running
Jimapco.   My condolences to his family.

My brother and I both on his show as youngsters, once together, that's one memory I remember : )

My sympathies to his family , friends and all who knew him.

There should be more shows like his. The good old days...

Right. There should be more wholesome shows for children. They don't need to be bombard with adult fare at 3pm. Back in the day each local station had something for the "small fry". Now it's all syndicated crapola with the same garbage from sea to shining sea.

I think that almost every kid back then had at least one birthday on the Freddie Freihofer show back when WRGB was on Washington Avenue. Everyone got a group picture in those baker hats and watched Jim make squiggles out of scribbles. RIP Jim.

I was on the show twice. And I still have my squiggle. Somewhere. I think. That was a very long time ago.

That would make us just a little younger than dirt.

Here is a good one for us that are a little younger than dirt:

Arthur is 90 years old. He's played golf every day since his
retirement 25 years ago.
One day he arrives home looking downcast.
"That's it," he tells his wife. "I'm giving up golf. My
eyesight has gotten so bad that once I've hit the ball, I
can't see where it went."
His wife sympathizes and makes him a cup of tea. As they sit
down, she says, "Why don't you take my brother with you and
give it one more try."
"That's no good," sighs Arthur. "Your brother's a hundred
and three. He can't help."
"He may be a hundred and three," says the wife, "but his
eyesight is perfect."
So the next day, Arthur heads off to the golf course with
his brother-in-law. He tees up, takes an almighty swing, and
squints down the fairway.
He turns to the brother-in-law. "Did you see the ball?"
"Of course I did!" replies the brother-in-law. "I have
perfect eyesight."
"Where did it go?" asks Arthur.
"I don't remember."
