President Obama has announced a brief visit to Schenectady on Tuesday to include a tour of the GE Main Plant. He will talk about the coming battery plant which will employ 350 people.

The People's Gazetto ran a laughable front page story on places President Obama may want to see. Among them the decrepit Schenectady Museum (which the City just cut funding for), Proctor's (which refuses to pay any PILOT) and a high school basketball game. No one can believe the how low the Gazetto has fallen. They actually think President Obama is here to play 2 on 2 basketball at the Y with Assemblyman Tedisco?

Then this gem from the horrible DSIC job killers;"I'd love to give him a walking tour of Downtown and explain, from Main Street, America, how you take an industrial city in decline and bring it back" stated Jim Salengo. Make sure you take him on lower State to Gillen's Gulch. Where dat? The little miracle on the Mohawk!

How about taking the President thru Mont Pleasant, Bellvue, Hamilton Hill, Bway Hill, and show him the real Schenectady not the 2 block area that pays no taxes.

Just included on the Presidential  tour-The new Taj Mahal DSS Center on Broadway. Lunch on a delicious hot dog sold by the one private sector job created by Death Ray/Landslide Savage.

Tour of Crane St especially the empty plaza where Marcella/Rite Aid used to be.

Return to the miracle two blocks for a cup of hot joe at the Muddy Cup before a tour of Gillen's Gulch-where Robinson's Retail Mecca was to be. Then meet with DSIC "leaders" to discuss how an extra tax on private businesses encourages "renaissance".

They could also include the live poultry markets on Broadway...Savage could spend all day showing Obama the "miracle called Schenectady"

Or five minutes-the time needed to show all the fully assessed retail Death Ray has brought Downtown after flushing over $100 MILLION in taxpayer money.

The worst Mayor in Schenectady history wants to take him to the socialist gelato stand. This is something that should be duplicated Nationwide? Move a business from one part of a County to another and throw a big PILOT at them. So revenues go down. Chicago East. But they got MLB.

Wonder what this is going to cost the Schenectady PD & Sheriff and Albany PD in overtime costs to have enough officers covering the streets.

Hang on taxpayers, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

We're getting a break because Michelle isn't coming and then deciding to travel here a few days early just like their Hawaii vacation.

You whiners can't even enjoy the fact that the President of the United States is coming to down.
You folks must live really miserable lives sitting in your underground bomb shelters curled up in the
fetal position while you talk to your selves.

He has visited other cities and workers were told to stay home and it cost them a days pay because the President paid their company a visit. He caused Las Vegas to lose a lot of money when he told every company to not go there for your conferences. He costs cities who don't have the money to spend a lot of money that they don't have for security for the President and we're all supposed to be thrilled about his visit?

Not whiners, we want him to see the real Schenectady, not just what the politicians want him to see. Taxpayers are hurting, so much corruption.............

It would be great if he had time to stop in to Proctor's and see the great work that was done restoring
that grand theater.

All the taxpayers paid for it so you should.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

so Proctors is restored while the rest of the city is falling apart.

DV- Do you really post what you really feel or just to get a rise out of people ?  I'm asking this honestly as I think many see Schenectady different. Many years ago it was a wonderful city, now its just a big mess, unless you get to own a business that makes a good profit and not pay any taxes or live outside of the city and maybe work in an office downtown?

We the taxpayers of the city see our bills rise, while services are not any better, we are paying for the misdeeds at city hall and in the school district.
