It would be even better if we could get Mr. Obama to come up to Rotterdam.   I'd be happy to treat him
to a McRib  sandwich at the renovated McDonald's at 5 Corner's or a slice of pizza at Paesano's.

ARE YOU FOR REAL ????? That is such an absurd statement, even in jest.  Contribute suggestions of value.  Use your connections to get Mr. Obama to understand the plight of the county and Capital District....maybe then recognition might return.  NYS is a disaster overall....get the Gov and Pres together and make them understand tht a revitalization of NY is a catalyst for the country.

JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!!

DVOR - You leave me speechless with your blind optimism. I can agree that Schenectady and the county as a whole is better than it was 20 years ago. But to use the term "renaissance" in connection with either has me hearing the loony toons theme every time I see your handle.

He is probably going to resign from his job, move to Schenectady, collect welfare and ride the system after coming to Schenectady and seeing that he can live off the system and no one will question him....and even more so Savage will probably turn her cheek the other way...

Quoted from CICERO

I'm sure he will tour the Hamilton Hill area on foot so he can get a true understanding of the success of the renaissance.

He will fly in and out as fast as possible. There no ribbon to cut. Nothing has opened yet. It's an opportunity to temporarily halt the endless stories of corruption and self dealing by the DEMS.

The most pathetic is the Gazetto with it's Weekly Reader coverage-basketball, museum tour, Proctor's tour. It will get the name Schenectady out which is important but real reforms cannot be put off any longer.

He SHOULD be going to Arizona to pay his respects to the families affected by this very REAL tragedy - not coming to podunk Schenectady to tout something that is a non-news story.

You have a right to your own opinion -- I choose to be an optimist .. things are better and getting better,
Let  the Renaissance continue.

no -- i eat a healthy 1,500 calorie a day diet  ...   We (my family and friends) enjoy "breaking bread"
together at various local eateries.   But most of the meals, I cook at home.

BTW -- the gelato at Villa Italia is awesome -- my toes are curling just thinking about it.

This is a bullcrap visit. This is what obama does.....he is still in campaign mode! That's all he obviously knows. And let me remind everyone that obama has GE executives on his staff. It's just Chicago style campaigning........nuff said!

This Presidential visit is recognition that the Working Together Works team has made GREAT progress in
the county and will continue to do so for years to come.  The opposition has been reduced to sitting curled
up in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs and talking to the little voices in their heads.
