Associated Press SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — The White House says President Barack Obama will return to upstate New York next week.
In a brief statement, the administration says the president will visit Schenectady, an ailing former industrial hub and one-time headquarters of General Electric.
The president was last upstate in May when he visited the Buffalo area to promote his administration's efforts to shore up small business. He also has visited Troy and has been to the United States Military Academy at West Point twice.
The administration didn't release details about Tuesday's trip to Schenectady, 10 miles west of Albany. The city of about 60,000 was the original headquarters for GE, which employed more than 40,000 people at its peak during World War II. There are only about 3,000 GE workers left in the city.

Word of the renaissance in Schenectady has reached the ears of the White House. All the world will soon know that Schenectady County is a great place to to live, work and do business.

Actually, coming to corrupt schenectady should make a Chicago politico feel right at home!!! I'm sure the corrupt Schenectady liberal socialist politicos can teach obama a few tricks of the trade!!
Savage and Stratton will be there drooling with their tongue hanging out. I'd like to be there, just to see that one!!!

Hopefully, the President will be bringing news of a great new project for GE or at least a nice check with some stimulus dollars.

Wishful thinking.
He is NOT and I repeat NOT here for your savage projects and the robbing of the financially struggling taxpayers. I'm not certain, but I'll say the odds are that he doesn't know that State St exists and he won't even see it.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Uh, DV. the whole world used to know that it used to be a great place.....that was back in the day when your savage was not raping and robbing the poor people to handout to the millionaires. The city has gotten SUBSTANTIALLLY worse since your girlfriend starting her wild spending spree of taxpayer money. You DO know that taxes are UP UP UP, don't you???? You DO know that city services are down down dwon. You DO know that property values are going DOWN, you DO know that even the high paid at GE and theose high paid state workers who could afford to buy that fancy schmancy house in the pretigious GE plot and the wealthy are staying FAR FAR FAR FAR away from the city. Hell, even your buddy Morris has bailed out of the city. And NONE of the high paid city workers wants to live in the city because it IS a sh*t hold to live in.
So, tell us how come you don't live in the city? How come you are NOT an indpendent, repsonsible, adult with a job and owning a house in the city?

I'm sure he will tour the Hamilton Hill area on foot so he can get a true understanding of the success of the renaissance.
It would be even better if we could get Mr. Obama to come up to Rotterdam. I'd be happy to treat him to a McRib sandwich at the renovated McDonald's at 5 Corner's or a slice of pizza at Paesano's.

Oh of course.....there you go again, wanting yet another wild spending spree of taxpayer dollars. DV. OPEN YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOK !!!! Tell us waht all the wild spending has done for this country so far??????? From a paltry $500 billion to a whopping unheard of $14 TRILLION in just two years!!!! Wild spending by YOUR DEMS and property values are down, taxes are up, job losses outweigh job creation, unemployment is higher than it's been in a few decades.
So, DV, what did all the DEM spending the taxpayers hard heard money do for real estate????? Tell us DV. Come on DV. Tell us how come the overwhelming majority of people in the mortgage issue were NOT helped by the dems. How come the OVERWHELMING number of homeowners were NOT helped by the wild spending of tax money ---they STILL lost their homes! How come the wild spending spree of tax dollar has NOT reduced the unemployment rate?????? Huh??????????? Huh???????????????
Who do you think is going to pay for the deficit?????? And HOW will it be paid for?????
