Schenectady Police Officer falsely reports a bar fight

SCHENECTADY NY - a fight taking place at a bar on Saturday night.
Patrolman Brendan Barrett has been arrested and charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident, a Misdemeanor.
The written affidavit states that Barrett called 911 to report a fight that was occurring inside Clinton's Ditch, a bar on S. College Street. The affidavit also states that Barrett made the report up, admitting that no such fight was occurring.

Not only that, but they're also adding to the calls to dispatch (imagine if it was centralized at this point) and making the police work even more overtime so they can check out the false accusations.
Some people just think they're above the law. Just because you have a badge doesn't mean you MAKE the laws, you enforce them, even on yourself. You're expected to perform at a higher level.
