I never defended anything in regard to the arson investigation --- I said it is too soon to make comments because we don't know all the facts.
Do you have enough facts yet? ROTFLMAO!! Nobody messed up {because they are all idiot DEMS}, this is standard operational procedure and "We did all we can do"-NOTHING. The silence from the left is deafening.

I'm not a Republican either! Here's a factual, intelligent argument for you . . . . . .
Golub purchases numerous private residences, demolishes structures and ultimately lowers assessed values on these lots. Golub moves offices to City of Schenectady. People who frequented eateries in Rotterdam for lunch, bought gas & cigarettes at Cumberland, shopped for household items at Bellevue Builders, no longer maintain this process hence lost revenues to Rotterdam businesses. Plus for Golub project is current road relocation, assessed value $0 dollars. Net benefit (-) dollars to Town. Proposed warehouse is just that, might never happen even by Golub's own admission. Warehouses don't make him money, their need is solely economically driven. Additionally, warehouse construction is to be modular in design, only the bare bone minimum, more added as needed. Possible projections for warehouse would be about 8 years from now, (if at all). Net benefit as of this point in time, nada, zippo, zero. And of course, more truck traffic next to Dolan Drive residents, no charge!
Now you supported FDG's statement that this was a big success for the Town, and so you have the opportunity to tell the Forum why that is, if you choose to reply to such "stupid" Republicans!

The FACT is that you lied when you said I was a staunchly in favor of the Golub Warehouse project --- you have absolutely NO idea what my opinion was or is on the subject.
Given the fact that the GOP ran the town for 5 years and produced .. no benefit, nada, zippo, zero ... I feel no need to humor them with any further reply on the subject.

The DEMS have produced? Yes, a bigger tax bill. And a beautiful new governmental gin mill with our RIDA funds. How is governmental gin mill industrial development again? Please tell us again Death Ray.
But you sheeple can all sit your butts down on actual old Giants seats while you wait for the drinks and "fare". Renaissance! Rebirth A Rotterdam Miracle!

Show us where someone said you supported the Golub project??? This is how the threads progressed:
Yes, just like the Golub Project he was touting 1/1/11! Lost all the office jobs to Schenectady, relocated Dunnsville Road for a possible warehouse expansion that may never happen. Lost assessed value, lost Rotterdam jobs, lost revenue to local businesses that depended on these people to buy goods and services in Rotterdam.
"Mr. Del Gallo, you did more than good ... you did great. Keep up the good work in 2011." Oh, and for the record - LOL
Quoted from DemocraticVoiceOfReason
The Golub Corporation decision to move its offices to College Park in Schenectady was made LONG before Mr. Del Gallo even announced he was running for Town Supervisor .... the fact is that the Recovery Room-Berkshire Bank project is a WIN for Rotterdam ... and you are both too stupid to know the facts and too jealous to give credit where credit is due.
BTW -- both attributes - the stupidity and the jealousy are not humorous ... just pathetic.

You still have provided no evidence that I "staunchly supported" the Golub warehouse project. The FACT is I have never made a public comment one way or the other on the matter.

There really is no reason to encourage the whiners -- ignoring them is the best course. I have absolutely no use for whiners and nasty people.
The fact is that the Recovery Room and Berkshire Bank will be opening within a few months. Those folks who wish to patronize them --- will do so. I know that I will.

With all due respect, Avon...I don't think there's been any appreciable drop in business in Rotterdam since Golub's HQ left. First, they catered lunch at the facility there...second, I doubt anyone relocated because of the move...and lastly, have you seen the area by the Industrial Park? You need to get in a car to go get anything. It's not like they were walking down the street to get a burger and some supplies. People bitching about that move simply can't see the big picture, which is that what is good for Schenectady County...and the Capital Region as a whole, is also good for Rotterdam. To suggest a business moving people 10 miles down the street will have an appreciable effect on the fluid modern economy is myopic to say the least.
Also...on a different note...I keep hearing the Recovery Room touted as an accomplishment...and the road relocation...REALLY? That's goddamn sad, IMO. Real sad.
An accomplishment is creating a sewer district for Hamburg Street and the using planning to forge an actual downtown for Rotterdam instead of it's current downtown, which is that rotted mall. FDG=FAIL.
