The only traffic flowing in and out of the city are taxi cabs and buses, who are carrying around the a$$es of all the welfare recipients, drug dealers and prostitutes.

OH....and let's not forget the Cadilac Escalades and Lincoln town cars with privacy glass also flowing in and out of the city.

Oh yes, the luxury cars coming into the city, yep, picking up their stash and leaving.  Forgot about that.

And DV has no reply.   Other than the millionaires coming into a couple blocks downtown for their taxpayer paid handouts, the welfare, and the druggies, yeah, DV, would you care to tell us what other traffic is coming in?  Tell us about all people buying up homes in the city of high taxes---well, you DID say the traffic is coming into the city, tell us how, show us the list of people buying homes in the city.  Well, DV, come on, provide us some facts.

There has been a good deal of private sector investment in Downtown Schenectady in the past 7 years.
One only has to look around to see the new buildings and new businesses flourishing.  One can see the
hundreds of cars filled with people to attend shows at Proctor's ... who then spend money Downtown spending
money at various restaurants and shops.

Broadway between 890 and State Street has several new or renovated buildings .... and even one of our
current town board members has his law offices in one of those new buildings.

The only people UNHAPPY about the renaissance in Schenectady are the dip-wads who are jealous that
such progress was NOT made when their folks were in office or could never have been accomplished if
the horses-asses that they support were to ever get elected.

I wonder the same thing actually.

I wonder if DV is a true believer in everything he says, or if he's just saying things to irk some of his more passionate "fans".

DV, answer the question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Tell us WHAT properties that you speak of have increased the tax base in the city.  WHAT properties are paying MORE in property taxes today than what were paid before TAX money was spent in handouts to fix up the buildings.

Tell us DV, WHAT properties pay more in property/school taxes today than 7 years ago.  And please provide us the proof from the county website (and you know damn well how to look up the info on the website so provide the proof, DV.

And just TRY telling us that the rich people who attend the expensive shows at Proctors, get out of a show at 10:30 or 11:00 and then go shopping?   WHAT stores are open at that hour?   And just try telling us that the people come on a bus from out of down and then go drinking it up at Bombers in the midst of brawls and crime.  Come on DV, show us the proof

Why is it that whenever you have no proof to support the statements you make, you answer with stupid stuff like this.

Your refusal to answer intelligent questions just provides you are a puppet to those who raise taxes on the people in the city who are fincially struggling.

As expected.

Someone who is supposedly educated, will NEVER respond to a intelligent question, with an intelligent answer.

He knows dang well we are all correct, he knows dang well that we are exposing the secrets, he knows dang well that all the mllions upon millions of tax dollars spent on downtown has ONLY resulted in higher crime, people fleeing the city like there's no tomorrow, property values plummeting and SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER taxes.

But he just cannot type those words.  He can not admit that he is wrong.

Calvin Coolidge once said "never have a debate with an ignorant person".   I would add "vulgar and rude
persons".      And certain folks fit all 3 descriptions -- ignorant, vulgar and rude ---- thus I will not
answer their questions.

Schenectady avoids cuts in firefighting
Union agrees to contract concessions that allow city to save their jobs

By Lauren Stanforth Staff Writer
Updated:09:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2010

SCHENECTADY -- There will be no cuts in the city Fire Department next year after the firefighters union overwhelmingly agreed to contract concessions.

Local 28, which represents 118 firefighters, approved a new contract Tuesday that gives back enough money to save 14 firefighter jobs that were cut from the 2011 budget.

Mayor Brian U. Stratton had originally proposed 19 job cuts and the closure of a firehouse to help close a multimillion budget gap, a move that met with protests by Local 28, including a march on City Hall, lawn signs and pamphlets.

Local 28 President David Orr said union members voted 105 to 11 to approve the five-year contract. Orr would not provide details about the contract until City Council votes on ratifying the agreement Monday. It's unknown what wage or benefit reductions the union agreed to in exchange for saving the positions..................>>>>..............>>>>..............Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/loca.....59.php#ixzz18wWOSePF

Probably saved at least a few firefighters jobs after Farstad had to give up his illegal overtime deal with the Mayor.
