I heard this morning that Sen. Hugh Farley was at the fundraiser last night. True?

Yes.  State Senator Hugh Farley attended the fundraiser as did several other elected leaders,
past, present and future.

It was a great event.  The mood was enthusiastic.  Brian, Wade Abbot, and Jim Longo all spoke
well to those who came to show their support.

Don't rule the Dems out yet.  People gave ST and his henchman four years before they threw those bums out.  What makes you think they won't give these guys the same amount of time.  Granted FDG will probably be out but I believe another Dem will take his place.

Rotterdamians are short on patience! They will be reluctant to vote another dem-o-con in office for a while. The REVITALIZE ROTTERDAM TEAM shamefully buried them and will come back to haunt them for quite some time!

Stop drinking the septic water and move towards the light!

I was not aware that the $8M didn't include the purchase price of the property!!!!! What are these rotterdam officials thinking? McGarry, or any other rational thinker is correct that this is NOT the time to burden the taxpayers.

There was just a report out that economists are suggesting that the housing market will drop by 12% by 2012. A sluggish housing market obviously means less tax revenue, which in turn will leave the taxpayers the burden of shouldering more of the tax base with tax/fee increases.

So folks, if ya think it's tough this year......next year won't be any better.....if not worse!!

This is clearly not the time for rotterdam, or any other municipality, to force this 'non-emergency' tax burden on it's residents! That is just plain NUTS!!! imo

Here is a quote from the recent TB meeting:

Nicki - "we all know the police dept is falling down - let's do the resolution tonight"

Now that she isnt running for office...spend, spend, spend the taxpayer's money.   Knew we couldn't trust her.

It's time to fix the TB and vote McGarry and company into office!!

This is the worst idea to come down the pike yet. I guarantee this would end up a 12-15 million dollar hit.

Fdg will pay off his buddy that owns that  property well over the value of that crumbling building

Harry and Wayne will obviously support this, look for Harry not to say a word about this.  Gazette go do your job and ask these ex cops along with tj hooker how can they support this.  And viscusi will be a yes man

Once again -  the only one standing up for taxpayers is McGarry.

Choice is very clear
