Town Supervisor Frank Del Gallo tells CBS 6 from the time doors opened at 8 a.m. a steady stream of just over 3,800 people came to cast their vote.

1396 voted yes. 2,472 voted no.

How are any of these politicians that either took the public position supporting the taxing district or didn't have the backbone to take a public position opposing the district going to win over the 2472 VERY MOTIVATED property owners/voters that our Town Board(Con/Dem/Rep) unanimously voted to drag them out of their homes 10 days before Christmas in the cold and ice for the unnecessary REMS vote?

What was Brian's position on the tax district?

Last night was a great start for the Unity team. Everyone is singing from the same hymnal. Now if we can get to the same hymn. Many fences were mended-too many to name. It's a new day.

Tracy has only been REP town chair for a few months. Let's give her a chance to put a unity slate together before attacking her. She's made mistakes but she is listening and understands the urgency of the moment. No one wants to go back to the mattresses. Everyone must give a little. Unity=Victory.

WC - is what TJ hooker/ Dagastino/ Savage want   --- might as well throw DVOR into that mix

that should be enough for you clowns to get your act together and unite against the democrat bullsh!t

but then again your town chair is on record with the DEMS in support of a taxing district with Tony J.......... so do you  actually expect anything else but a primary from a real smaller govt fiscal conservative???????????

Now is the opertune time for the rotterdam con party to jump on board and endorse BM. He is by far the most 'CONSERVATIVE' candidate rotterdam has seen in a long time.

the water is 'just right' for a win for both the 'real' cons and reps! WOW...that would call for a rotterdam celebration.....yes?

Tea?  LOL.  McGarry cannot win--and who the hell wants a "Conservative."  This town is in enough trouble.  Why is it you can't see that ST made a mess of this town.  REp/Con ways just didn't work.  McGarry is a good teacher and good photographer but no experience to pull the town back up.

BT you should start taking responsibility for what has happened t the REP party as well.  You were a huge part of it.  YOU lay down with dogs and you start smelling like them.

Your NNTP is what has tainted BM.  I don't believe he can win but he is a gentleman and somewhat ethical.  He came out on the right side of the FDG debacle started by GP.

You think the water is right BT--you have underestimated the undercurrent.

NNTP is just an EFFECT of the Tea Party Movement.....the movement is there to poke at the nest..over and over and over and over
and over.....and NOT A SINGLE ELECTED is immune....

as cogs fall out of the machines(DEMS/REPS) the 'agendas' will be seen....unity is only as good as the foundation it stands on....

The GOP could get Rick Lazio to run for Town Supervisor ... he seems to enjoy running and losing.

Yeah, just like DemocrapicVoodooRepeater does.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Just curious, any local reps show up?

Norm Miller, Mr. Brassard and Attorney Hughes all arrived toward the end
of the event.

I did not attend Mr. McGarry's fundraiser, but I must say that there may have been many people who are in town that may have been interested in going, but were unable to due to scheduling conflicts.  I say this, as Schalmont actually had a concert the night of his fundraiser.  I don't know how many people may have been interested in attending but were unable to, but I'm sure there had to be some.  I would have liked to attend, but was unable to.

What I'm saying is that the showing there may not have been as big as it could have been scheduled on another day, or maybe it was just some people giving small donations to be able to show their faces and to check in to see who else dared to show theirs.  Either way, it sounds like it may have been a good night for Mr. McGarry and his fundraising efforts.

I would suggest that Mr. DelGallo won with exactly the same background.

Kevin -- did you say Schalmont had a concert the same night as McGarry's fundraiser?  That speaks to his organizational skills.   Why didn't anyone check the school calendars in Rotterdam.  If he is to win, he will need to win by appealing to a younger resident. The 60 plus crowd do not see him as a viable candidate.  Now if the concert was a rescheduled concert because of weather, than it was just bad timing.  Otherwise, points to bad organizational skills.

PLEEZ! give it up Boom!  In checking the calendar, it was a 3rd grade concert.  It was at Jefferson at 7pm so if someone wanted to attend both functions, it was brillant planning since Canali's and the school are within 2 minutes driving time.
You just don't like BM as a candidate and that is your opinion...but you are in the minority this time!!
