Well, if I was voting in that district, he would have just lost my vote.

SSFD has a nice facility ... but hardly a "Taj Mahal".    They do great work, too.

The last minute write in campaign didn't work sadly.  I think not being on the ballot plus everyone who's " outside " the normal firehouse voters kept thinking they would vote for both the ems vote and commissioner vote at town hall.

I like what I hear from the no new tax party though, deff. Something that rings to my view on government.  Maybe I'll join to make future political runs alittle more viable.

Yea why not Artie.  You got one loss under yer belt.  Mertz and company have a few more than you though.  Good luck with that endeavour!  Once you get a taste of losing its hard to spit it out perhaps??

I know nothing of the politicans around Rotterdam, but I am of a conservative mind..

Are you bashing on the people running the party or are you a liberal and just not agreeing with the politics?

If you haven't been following, there is dissention in the ranks of the Republican Party and there are many people who previously were leading up the party in town, but did not have actual conservative values.  Like it was previously stated, there is much behind it, much TOO much to go into here, so if you would like to know, you need to catch up on reading a lot on here or talking to people regarding many of the issues that have been going on.  Paying attention from this point forward would be a good beginning to learning.
