Democrats and liberals have been blaming the 10 years of Bush Era tax rates as the reason for the current recession.  Then Obama extends the cuts for 2 more years?

Box, how can that be?  Doesn't your savior know the errs of his ways?

I actually enjoyed watching Olbermann and Maddow last night.  It's soooooo fun to watch the loony left eat their own.  Olbermann SLAYED Obama for his compromise with the Republicans.  The far left liberals are beginning to see their governing philosophy is in the vast minority.  Even Obama is beginning to understand that pushing the far left agenda is suicide.

Good to see that the tax rates will not be going up ...  should have been for more than 2 years .. but

Talk about being one big HYPOCRITE.

Uh, would you care to tell us what you support in Schenectady??????   You have NEVER spoken against raising taxes to have the low income people cover the cost of the property and school taxes for the rich.  You fully support increasing taxes to give handouts to the rich to open businesses.   You fully support spending money on stupid projects downtown while children are being shot on city playgrounds, when people go to a neighborhood store in broad daylight and get murdered, when families risk could be murdered in a downtown KFC at dinner time, and when in your "renaissance"---a restaurant sits where it's employees are assaulted and risk gettting murdered during an armed robbery in broad daylight.  Not to mention the shooting or stabbing at one of the taxpayer funded gin mills.

DV, you haven't spoken a word about the two daytime armed robberies in your precious taxpayer funded downtown, nor have you spoken about the assaults and armed robberty twice in two months at Cornells---in your precious taxpayer funded downtown.  How come you don't comment about the proof of ever rising crime, and violent crime to boot!

Rather embarassing to admit that our higher taxes are ruining the city, huyh?

So, what is your opinion on the increases in property and school taxes in Schenectady while the millionaires downtown are exempt from paying taxes????   You DO remember the FACTS I posted, or did you avoid reading the truth because it was too embarassing.

Latest news is that the House of Representatives does not intend to take up the Tax Cut extension ..
and the Senate is planning to add a bunch of unrelated bills to the proposal.

'Filibernie': Sanders rips tax deal for more than eight hours
By Jordan Fabian      - 12/10/10 07:23 PM ET

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is railed against President Obama's tax-cut package in a lengthy floor speech.

Sanders, one of the Senate's leading liberals, is protesting Obama's deal with Republicans, which would extend tax cuts on all income that were initially signed by President George W. Bush in 2001 and 2003.

Sanders began his speech on Friday at 10:24 a.m. and wrapped up just before 7 p.m. He has threatened to filibuster the Obama-GOP deal when it is brought to the Senate floor next week.

"You can call what i am doing today whatever you want, you it [sic] call it a filibuster, you can call it a very long speech ... ," read a message posted on Sanders's Twitter account after he'd taken to the rostrum.

"I'm not here to set any great records or to make a spectacle," Sanders said at the top of his speech. "I am simply here today to take as long as I can to explain to the American people the fact that we have got to do a lot better than this agreement provides."
Sanders captured Washington's attention with his old-school filibuster of the tax deal. Media outlets buzzed about his speech and Sanders's name became the sixth most popular topic on Twitter. A nickname for his speech, the "Filibernie," went viral with Beltway reporters.

According to Sanders's office, the Senate TV server was temporarily shut down because of the overwhelming number of people trying to watch.

Sanders has said he will do "whatever it takes" to block the deal, "including a filibuster." His speech Friday covered a variety of topics, including a detailed case for more infrastructure investment, higher corporate tax rates and reducing the federal budget deficit.

The Vermont senator took aim at Wall Street bankers and the wealthy, who he says will be the beneficiaries of the policy.

“How can I get by on one house?” Sanders said. “I need five houses, ten houses! I need three jet planes to take me all over the world! Sorry, American people. We've got the money, we've got the power, we've got the lobbyists here and on Wall Street. Tough luck. That's the world, get used to it. Rich get richer. Middle-class shrinks."....................>>>>..............................>>>>................http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/133089-sanders-begins-filibuster-of-tax-deal-

Gee, DV, what has happened to the tax rates in Schenectady city????????   Huh?????   Well, can you answer that??????????????

Why are the struggling poor people in Schenectady having higher taxes??????????????     Because they are paying the taxes for the rich?    Do you support the poor paying the taxes for the rich?

DVR could care less about the City taxpayers. Until the City morons snap out of their Stockholm Syndrome and punt every DEMS they will continue to get screwed. Anyone calling for transparency should also be laughed out of town. The DEMS have been very open about their militant disregard for taxpayers and businesses.

There are no tax cuts-the current rate must be extended for at least five years. The pork that the DEMS are adding is disgusting. Where is Congressman Tonko on this?-lol-The REPS should follow Senator DeMint vote NO! and do it right next year. What the DEMS don't want to admit is that the bottom rates are going up 50%. Obama is no Clinton-he will never moderate and he will never get reelected. Clinton was a founding member of the DLC which was a Conservative group of DEM governors.

Ohhh Please...Democrats spent TRILLIONS in new spending over the past 2 years while they controlled both Houses and the White House.  Obamacare and stimulus, and not a dime to 9-11 first responders?  And you're trying to sell that this compromise on the tax rate is hurting 9-11 first responders and blaming the Repubicans?  Democrats still control the House and Senate until January 1st, they could have allowed the tax cuts to expire along party lines.  They passed Obamacare along party lines, what's stopping them now?

Why don't the DEMS use the unspent Obama stimulus money to help first responders? Because this is not important to them. Giving people that don't pay any Federal taxes a refund check is. Then they wonder why they can't create any jobs.

Ten years of those tax cuts didn't create any jobs.
By all means, let's continue along the path of proven failure.

The United States, and especially Schenectady, has turned failure into some an art form.
It's been going for so long, that people have grown to see it as "business as usual".
Pardon me if  I don't care to hang your "art" on my refrigerator.
