ROTTERDAM Sisters runners-up in 2 pageants were so close,” Brittany said. BY MICHAEL GOOT Gazette Reporter Reach Gazette reporter Michael Goot at 395-3105 or mgoot@dailygazette.net.
Brittany and Kylie Jasenski of Rotterdam pulled off a rare sister act Sunday, finishing as first runners-up of the Miss New York USA and Miss New York Teen USA competition, respectively. “Our goal going into this was for both of us to win,” said 22-year-old Brittany. “When we both won first runner-up, it’s sort of the same achievement at a different level.” Brittany competed against 153 other women and Kylie against 117 teenagers to finish second in their respective pageants at the Crown Plaza in Albany. What made the feat more impressive is it was Kylie’s fi rst pageant. “I think it’s weird that we both got first runner-up. The chances of that are really slim,” said 16-yearold Kylie. “I wish I would have won but the girl who won is well deserved.” Brittany is a pageant veteran, having entered the Miss New York Teen USA on a whim in 2006 while a senior at Mohonasen High School. “That kind of got me addicted with the adrenaline rush,” she said. Kylie also described such a feeling. “On the stage, I was shaking. This is so exciting,” she said. The competitions lasted all weekend with the swimsuit portion on Friday night, interview on Saturday morning and evening wear that night. Each portion is worth one-third of the score in determining the top 20. Then, the scores are all reset and the judges whittle the competitors down to the top seven and finally the fi nalists. Brittany works in marketing for her father’s company, Draper Development, which has 20 Subway franchises in the Capital Region. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a double major in marketing and management. She said her dream job would be in event planning, possibly as state director of the Miss USA pageant. Kylie, a junior at Mohonasen High, said she is not sure what she wants to do as a career, but wants to major in business and minor in fashion at college. ...............>>>>.................>>>>....................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01101&AppName=1

Oh Oh Oh, WHO was the one crying that was going to whine to the Schdy PD that he was being threatened. |
| Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies. |
