Bed bug found in Schenectady school Published: 04:45 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010
SCHENECTADY -- A bed bug was found in an Hamilton Elementary School coat cubby earlier this month, but an investigation by Schenectady County health officials found no other bed bugs in the school.
The city school district altered parents to the matter through a letter and is holding a meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday with Andrew Suflita, the county's environmental health director, at the school to answer questions.
District spokeswoman Karen Corona said a teacher saw the bug crawling on a child's coat that was hanging up, and the bug was put into a plastic bag and taken to the county health department for identification.
According to a letter provided to parents Friday, the health department inspected the school Nov. 9 and found no other bugs. Where the lone bug came from is unknown.
The district said it would continue to work with the health department to conduct inspections at the elementary school.
The bugs are now considered common in the Capital Region, showing up in hotels and apartment buildings. ...................................>>>>.................................>>>>.......................................http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Bed-bug-found-in-Schenectady-school-818788.php |

Id like to know why they didnt report on the properties on Albany Street where the residents were forced to leave because of the bed bugs there? And the kids attending the schools near there? This was going on last year. |

Just like ya never hear of the churches, businesses and homes that are being vandalized!! Oh sure, you may read of a couple here and there..........but that is just the tip of the iceberg!!! That is called 'withholding information'!! IMHO |
