In yet another idiotic decision Metrograft has agreed to pay $100,000 RENT for an engineering firm relocating from Glenville to Center City. They still don't get it. Not only does Center City pay no property taxes but the County taxpayer aka {sheeple} now have to pick up the rent for a dead beat tenant. Talk about a double whammy.

Worse is that Death Ray and his Stalinist clapping seals cheer this as some big accomplishment. No increase in property taxes, no job creation, no sales tax creation but this is a great thing because they may eat lunch Downtown. A waste of $100,000 to pay rent for a business that should be paying its own rent. The Glenville "representative" didn't vote NO! How does this property tax loss help Glenville? This crap has got to stop. No one will move Downtown without a shmear and a tax give away. Then the DEM morons wonder why property tax and sales tax receipts are off and they can't pay for police and fire services.

Every RELOCATION by the notorious metroplex is paid for by the already overburdened taxpayers!!

They pay to move 'em and continue to pay for years and years!!!

ABOLISH THE METROPLEX THROUGH A REFERENDUM!!!!!

It's killin' the taxpayers of schenectady county!!!

Right but I'm not holding my breath for that referendum. In the meantime challenge every County legislator  on Metrograft. Do they support it's continuation? Do they favor expanding its debt ceiling AGAIN? Are they in favor of the continued reverse Robin Hood? Taking from the poor and giving it to rich developers. Metrograft is tapped out. They have blown all the money and will be coming back to the Legislature and State to expend their debt ceiling.

The sheeple reading the Gazetto and the moronic DEM mailers thinks it's "progress"-"rebirth"-"a little miracle" not realizing that it's the reason every town and the City are hurting.

Benny.....do you honestly think that the entire county couldn't get 5000 votes? THAT IS COUNTY WIDE!!

It would be perfect timing.....during a major election year for the city! I believe FOUR seats will be up for grabs!

It there is a will................

First of all there are 5 seats up in the City 4 + Mark B's old seat. It's also the Mayor election. Getting it on the ballot is one thing-winning is another. All the fat cats will line up against this, plus the Gazetto plus the DEM machine. Nobody wants to lose a precious pork chop. Do not underestimate the other sides greed.

If you want a County referendum let's go back to a County Board of Supervisor's. That is what the people, especially in the unrepresented Hilltowns want.

Wow, was that in the paper?   Did I miss it?
