Congratulations to Tom Buchanan for picking the right candidate for Assembly, even though he may have had to go against two of his close friends to do what was right for the Party.

Nobody trusts Parisi and now you can add Santabarbara's name to that list.  Salamone was a casualty of anti-Parisi sentiment and now Buchanan needs to rebuild the party.

It's simple, blame who you want, but some self-serving Reps showed their true colors this year.  Santabarbara and Parisi (and little Gerard Salamone) attacked the party and worked together in every effort to destroy what's left of Republican incumbants.  Thank you to GA, Peter G, Tom Buchanan and the rest, job well done.

It's funny, even in the 11th hour, Parisi never had the courage, honor or self worth to do what's right for the party.  No wonder they refer to him as a scumbag.

You couldn't be any more wrong with that post. In fact, just reading over some of the other posts proves to me that a lot of folks here are either to bound by party/faction loyalty to admit defeat...or that ignorance reigns supreme. First of all, Santabarbara would have given Amedore a run for his money...had it not been for Montgomery County, which solidly backed ALL Republican candidates. Second, Salamone would have won...had it not been for the CONSERVATIVES(i.e., the famous police union vote). There's only one thing this election proved in Rotterdam: How unbelievably disjointed town politics really are.

Are you actually comparing Montgomery county's electorate to schenectady county's? That should sum it up for ya!

You know, I watched the replay of the budget meeting on channel 18.  It was funny at the end, when Gerard thanked Nikki for working so hard on the budget ammendments, then Gerard said that Nikki "even worked harder than me" on the budget.  I thought it was telling about his ego, and he couldn't give a compliment without injecting himself into it.

I also got a hoot out of Bob "GOTCHA" Godlewsik questioning EVERY ammendment.  Boy does he waste a lot of time fixing blame and covering his a$$.

Again, not Peter. You make it sound like Amedore lost Schd'y County... Do you ever tell the truth?

Yeah....that's been going around rotterdam. He certainly will not be alone in that venture! The informed rotterdamians are pissed off at the direction their town is going in.

It's gonna be a hell of a 2011 election year in schenectady county! Hang on to your seats and pass the pop corn!

Who said the Democraps will endorse FDG?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The word around the Bagel Shop is look for Diane vs. Brian. The NNTP rides again! Don't call it a comeback. Have heard some other interesting names-many trial balloons being released countywide. The natives have become very relentless. Landslides have consequences.
