Aren't you celebrating the big Savage victory? The one you predicted so forcefully?

Nahhhhhh, because she's DONE!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Mrs. Savage fought the good fight ... raised issues that needed to be raised .. this election is over ..
but now it is time to roll up our sleeves and work together on the many items on the plate.

With all the talk of a GOP tsunami sweeping the country --  Schenectady County and Rotterdam
Democrats worked together as a floodgate to hold back the GOP wave.

3 out of 3 of the county-wide races  ... went Democratic

City Council race and City Court Judge ...  went Democratic

Rotterdam Town Board race .... went Democratic

Congressman Tonko  ..... reelected with a huge margin of victory.

Cuomo-Duffy, Schumer, Gillibrand, Schneiderman, and DiNapoli   ..... all statewide races went
Democratic

Though I am disappointed that Susan Savage did not win ... all in all .. it was a great night for the
New York State Democrats, Schenectady County Democrats, Schenectady City Democrats and
Rotterdam Town Democrats.

That one judge and that one county clerk race WERE nail biters though.

Ain't our fault that the GOP didn't run candidates in those races.   The fact is that the GOP in
the City of Schenectady and the County of Schenectady and the Town of Rotterdam  ... are quite
far along the path to joining the  dinosaurs.

Well who really wants to run against a bunch of poltical hatchet men. If they run, attack them, sue them, smear their children, threaten them, use Gestapo tactics. People are scared off of running against the gangsters you are affiliated with.

I remember one of your own trying to use smear tactics on me -- a Mr. Mertz claiming that I was somehow
"in the pocket" of Wal-Mart.    Fact is I have never gotten a dime from Wal-Mart  .. although they did donate
several dozen gloves when I asked them to help out the Mont Pleasant Action Coalition's Neighborhood
Clean-Up day about 6 or 7 years ago.

So where did you stand on WalMart coming to the former Republican club property?

I believed that the so-called triangle should have been developed as either a municipal complex to house the Town Hall, Police Station-Justice Court and Community Recreation & Activity Center or as
retail/commercial office space --- if retail/commercial office space .. there should have been some prohibition
of "big box" retail store(s) being located there.

I don't know why the town could not have tried to work with Wal-Mart to find a site better suited for such a
"big box store".    The property across from Schalmont  (between Route 7 and I-8 would have been ideal for a "big box store" like a Wal-Mart.

Personally, I very rarely shop at Wal-Mart .. if it is once a year .. that would be a lot.  And on those rare
occasions that I have shopped there it has been for a specific advertised item.

Funny you call this a "huge margin of victory," especially considering that it's one of the closest races in memory for the 21st district... but spin it however you wish.

It was "one of the closest races" but still a "huge margin of victory.   I think you would have to go back to
1970 -- when Sam Stratton and Dan Button were thrown into the same Congressional District to find a truly
close contest in a House race that included most of the existing 21st.
