my point was that you were/are close to these people

Just because I'm "close" to people doesn't mean that I agree with them.  I take the facts and make a decision on my own.

the only way to impove income for rems would be to increase the call volume!  which i hope doesnt ever happen.  This town has only so many people and only so many accidents/ heart attacks happen per year.  mohawk/rems/and tracy all agree that ALS services will average about $150 grand per year in revenue to the town.  that will never change dramatically.  However what the rep chair misses is that the tax district will rise and creep up slowly year after year just like everyother other tax.  a new ambulance with all the bells and whistles costs well over $200,000!  They have  a fleet of 4! and two locations to maintain, with a possible 500,000 in debt.  so her ridiculous letter makes no sense!  I support tax because they will provide town with $150 grand, but the election is being handled bad, and it will only be 10c per 1,000 which will be made up by what they bill for als.  HAAHAAHAAHAAAA  with out the subsidy they will have to start to replace that 120,000 then account for a new ambulance, pay there shiny new lawyer, gas, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc,

I would disagree with the fact that you would need additional calls to be able to increase revenue.  The fact is that each call costs a certain amount in supplies, gas, and maintainence costs for the ambulance, just like it costs you a certain amount each time you start your car.  In fact, if you think about it, you do an oil change every 3,000 miles.  That means that each trip you take costs a percentage of that maintainance.
Increased use = increased maintenance cost.

billing efficiency and following up with people that havent paid: sure that will help a little and i comend you for wanting to help.  but they actually promoted soft billing as a positive for rems.

This is the way that they serve the community.  It's also the way that put them into the financial situation they're in.  They need to find a way away from that.

If the rotterdam reps took a stand years ago FOR THE TAXPAYERS, against this ridiculous, un-warranted taxing district for an irresponsible ambulance service, (like mertz did) then perhaps they wouldn't be where they are today....non-existent. They are pure and simple RINO's!!!

People strongly question this Alliance party.  Each one is not conservative by any stretch of the imagination! Hell, Mr. Hull is a union college, non profit, take houses off the tax-roll liberal in the eyes of most. Just because they are new faces and warm bodies doesn't mean they are the best candidate! It's early in the game but I would err on the side of caution with this bunch!

Tracy, what in the world are you talking about?  I guess if I was posting at 12:30 in the morning I might not make any sense either.  We are hearing that Tommasone is running, any truth to that?  I mean, you ARE the GOP Chairperson right?  Not just somebody's puppet?

Please ms. donovan, in all due respect, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the direction of politics in rotterdam. It has been the same for decades and will continue.

Rotterdamians are predicting that ST will be endorsed by the rep party for supervisor. We'll see if their predictions are correct.

Steve again????????  He was a total disaster.  Who in their right mind would run him again.  Give him a gold watch and retire him.  If that is the best Ms. Donovan can do you might as well turn it over to TB.  Get creative.  Find someone NEW--somebody with a brain that thinks logically not vengefully.

I don't think Steve should run again. I would rather have Joe Signore back.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

JS is definitely not running again. He was the first REP supervisor in 40 years and was stabbed him in the back. They don't have the horse sense to run Brian-so guess who?
