Commander Carl??? Nope


    Claims by Carl Paladino's campaign that he commanded 250 men at Fort Bliss, Texas, during six months of active Army service in 1971, turns out to be just another case of A POLITICIAN LYING ABOUT HIS MILITARY RECORD.

    The Claim:
    ~ "Paladino spent six months active duty with orders for Vietnam and was responsible for training 250 men during that time at Fort Bliss."

    The Reality:
    ~ Paladino was on active duty for only three months, and was at Fort Bliss to RECEIVE training.

What a shocker! Typical hypocrites on the left-when Blumenthal lies about Vietnam service no big deal. The fact is that Paladino served and Cuomo didn't. Now the NY Post is the left's source for all Paladino bashing.

Like most of the readers on this board, and most Americans, Cuomo didn't serve in the military.  Paladino served in the National Guard, but even though he did have a military record of service, he saw fit to falsify his history for political gain.

Blumenthal, GWB, Reagan... and many more have lied about military service.  You can be elected if you don't have a military history, but IMO, to exaggerate, embellish or just plain lie about military service is an insult to all Veterans.

Andrew Cuomo is in the age bracket that fell between the Vietnam War and Persian Gulf War ... a lot of
folks in that age bracket didn't serve in the military.     So this is really a non-issue.
