alot of the $$ goes to Saratoga gumbas......we are just plebs having arms twisted.....

there's something else behind the curtain.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Council to pay golf pro, but keep revenue
Damon to get $85,000 as a city employee
BY KATHLEEN MOORE Gazette Reporter

After hours of debate behind closed doors, the City Council finally agreed Monday to a new contract that sharply limits the golf pro’s salary.
Brian Damon will be hired as a city employee at a salary of $85,000, plus benefits, the council decided.
The city will keep all the revenue that Damon once kept, including driving-range fees and golf-cart rentals.
And acting Mayor Gary McCarthy will negotiate a contract with Damon to run the pro shop. Damon may have to pay a small amount of rent to use the building.
The council voted unanimously on the contract shortly before 9 p.m. They had to vote without one member: Councilman Joseph Allen left just after 8 p.m. because he has an early-morning fl ight to catch today. At the time, he said it seemed unlikely that the council could come to an agreement Monday.
The sticking point revolved around the differing numbers that Damon and others have cited for his revenues in recent years.
Finance Commissioner Ismat Alam said Damon collected about $300,000 in rental cart fees. Damon countered that he had to also pay to insure, fuel and maintain the carts, but for months he refused to produce receipts showing the cart revenue in the past two years. He actually collected $218,000 last year, in what he termed an “off” year. .........................>>>>............................>>>>........................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01001&AppName=1
