The GOP controlled the State Senate from BEFORE Farley took office in January 1, 1977 up through December 31, 2008.
Farley held the 3rd highest position in the majority -- Majority Whip for most of the time that the GOP was in a majority .... if you are in a leadership post in your party and your party is in control of the State Senate .... and you can't get anything done --- you should be fired.
Jim Tedisco -- who has been in the minority party in the Assembly all of his time in the State Assembly has done more for Schenectady --- an Jim Tedisco has accomplished more than Hugh Farley ever did.
