Gee, DV, the city has there service IN the city!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Four stations, two of which were only a paltry mile away. Tell us how good the government EMS service, a staff of over 100, NOT ONE rushed to this guy. There were no massive fire in the city at the time, in fact, there were no fires going on at all. So, tell us WHY, DV, WHY couldn't even one government paid city employed unit respond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He claims that he is through arguing (or discussing). The reason is because he is dead wrong and he knows full well that he is wrong. He ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY CANNOT provide one shred of proof to prove what he says is true.
And so he uses this cop out excuse.
He says Schenectady is “much improved.” But he NEVER will respond when he is asked for proof.
We have proven him wrong. Schenectady is NOT much improved, it is getting MUCH MUCH MUCH worse. And that is the UNDISPUTABLE, UNDENIABLE TRUTH. DV absolutely refuses to respond to the facts.
The facts taxes are the highest ever, we have the 19th HIGHEST taxes in the whole nation! The FACTS are that people are leaving this city in droves and that is proven by the FACT that the city has an all time high vacancy rate of the housing in the city…..a whopping 25%. It is a FACT that city services are and have been getting cut big time. It is a FACT that crime is up. There are murders, shootings, and stabbings in the daylight, in city playgrounds (children can no longer play outside), near schools---schools have had to be in lockdown. It is even dangerous to go to a corner store for milk---you’ll get shot to death. It is a FACT that there are houses totally burned in fires which owners have abandoned over a decade ago and the city has not foreclosed on them nor torn them down. Traffic has been slowed to a crawl on the main thorough fare causing buses to be late and people to fail to meet their connecting buses. People have stopped going to their neighborhood churches because it’s too dangerous to walk there and churches have closed. Drug dealing is rampant. And the school system is so bad that only 50% of the kids graduate
The city wouldn’t think twice about tax foreclosures on homes of the elderly on fixed incomes and the lower income people. These two groups of people have been forced to foot the bill for the property taxes on the very well heeled, those who are worth millions and have more than enough money to pay their property taxes, but instead, DV’s buddies Savage, Gillen, and Stratton absolve the rich from paying taxes---instead, they spread that debt among the homeowners of the city.
And then, you get the big time, long long time tax delinquents, particularly two who buy a building for a paltry $20,000, and then deliberately CHOOSE to cause a million dollars in damage by CHOOSING not to turn the heat on in the building which then caused the pipes to burst---the guys probably figured the city would make sure the taxpayers came to their rescue and pay for all the renovation in the building. They didn’t put one penny into the building, the historic hotel building. But then does the city take the place for back taxes??????? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!! DV’s buddy Savage and Gillen, and Stratton reward these tax delinquents by giving them a whopping quarter of a million dollars. How many home owners could EVER get rewarded by a municipal entity paying them 12 times more for their house than they bought it for? What has Savage done about getting the delinquent taxes (on this hotel building as well as the multitudes of other properties on which they are delinquent) from these slumlords????? NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Taxpayers bailing out the VanDyck not once, but twice. And how much was stolen from the taxpayers for the failed Big House? And Bombers? A murder there? Then a bunch of fights? The SLA has enough to pull their alcohol license, but I’m sure that DV, Savage, Gillen, and Stratton are not allowing the police chief to report the crimes to the Liquor Authority.
And tell us, other than Rudnicks, where can you go to shop downtown? By the way, Rudnicks pays their taxes.
And to think that I am paying taxes on Marcella’s appliances property and then IF I made a purchase I would be expected to pay MORE tax!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is duly noted that DV is NOT doing anything to move into the city he boasts about----of course, he knows to stay away from living in the city because he knows the city is a sh*t hole. He even stated that his parish church should move out because of the tax burden.
