Telling our enemies when we will withdraw our troops is just plain ridiculous.   We shouldn't
withdraw our troops until the job is done and the war against the Taliban and Al Qaeda Terrorists
is won.
Of course, we would prefer peace .. but true peace can not be achieved while we allow these
terror organizations to continue to plot their treachery and murder.
This speech reminds me of Neville Chamberlain's speech when he came back from meeting
Hitler .....   appeasement didn't work then and it certainly won't work now.

AlQaeda has a plan, and it's working:

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

That conference put together by Joe Lombardo was quite good.  Not sure what the problem is with Tonko being there.  The majority of American's want to know WHEN we are getting out of the war business.  DVR you sound like a Rep. on this one.

...Or JFK & FDR.  Back in the day when Democrats recognized foreign enemies of America, and didn't blame America first.

Tonko is on the wrong side of every foreign policy issue. Terrorism, dealing with Hamas, Iran, etc. He is part of the shameful blame American first squad. What happened to Sam Stratton DEMS?

I have always been a conservative when it comes to matters of national defense and foreign policy.  IMHO
this president and the Democratic leadership of Congress is headed in the WRONG direction on both
national defense and foreign policy.    Frankly, I miss the days when we were represented in the House by men like Sam Stratton and Mike McNulty.

Everyone misses the moderate Democrats in the Democratic Party who have allowed the radical left to hijack the party and turn it into nothing more than an organization geared to passing the agenda of the far left. I sure hope that the moderate conservative Democrats wake up and bring some common sense back to their party.

On this board,  moderate Democrats are a good thing but moderate Republicans are to be shunned.

There are Reps that voted against going to war in Iraq as well as Dems so that isn't the issue. It's the fact that this administration has gone so far left that it's bankrupting the country by spending money on programs that return no benefits and put people out of work. Whether it's the Reps or the Dems it's not in the best interest of the country to go too far left or too far right.

"There have been wars and will continue until this world comes to an end"... or until people like Bumble come to an end.

But he is such a nice guy!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
