There's that phrase Public Grants that's free money that no taxpayer has to pay for, not.

Actually -- I said Private and Public Grants --  there are many dollars in private grants that are available because we are along the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.

The passive park on the "Bonded Concrete site" won't cost the taxpayers a dime that work will
all be done by DeClemente.    The value of the work that DeClemente does can be used as the
"town match" to apply for federal and state funds for the work to be done on the  "Canal Corp
Lands part".

Have faith -- be patient -- this park WILL get built and will be something that every resident can
be proud of and it won't hurt the taxpayers.

We will be looking for new members of the Parks Commission soon --- just call Diane at the Supervisor's
Office and say that you are interested in being on the Parks Commission and leave your  name and
contact info.

Yep, be sure to give them your username here too - so they can see if your comments historically fit their agenda.

Absolutely NOT true or necessary --   the current Parks Commission is a mix of residents from all parties and walks of life.    There is no political litmus test to be appointed ... just a willingness to volunteer your time and show up at our twice monthly meetings and help out in our commission's activities (such as the canalway clean up day)

Again, I strongly recommend that the negative posters -- the one's with the eternal paranoia about
conspiracy theories ... give it a rest .. because this Commission is  DEMOCRACY IN ACTION ... grass roots
citizens .. sharing ideas .. working together ... trying to improve the town's parks and recreation system.
