Schalmont and Mohonasen are very good school systems.

As for the water supply and sewer issues -- until someone hits the megamillions and donates it to the
town -- the only way to spend money on infrastructure like water towers and sewers is to raise the money
through a tax.

how about routine maintenance

government in general sucks at it  - because it is easier to bond and replace at a far higher overall cost

Since when did supporting local small businesses in their efforts to stay in business and grow become a
"failed policy".
If your "hymns of truth" entail NOT helping local small business - than you are the one cheering on failed
policies.

I need to support a business that has to be persuaded by YOU in order to open their business in Rotterdam?  If that's your idea of "economic growth" then we're in trouble. A business should want to do business in Rotterdam because they will make money, NOT because a party hack had to bend their ear and beg them.

I didn't beg -- I have been talking with them to consider this move for a while -- and they WANT to do
business in Rotterdam.
I don't see anything wrong with promoting our town to people who are in business and looking to move or
to expand.

which would be a RESPONSIBLE TAX....unlike REMS that touts fear of the unknown.....after the shooting over here on this side of town the coldbrook Hamburg St area is just
left to age and rot because of selfish poor planning of our 'forefathers'.......no growth here will lead to no good area.....if P then Q.......

taking a hold of our bootstraps and pulling up would do us good.......we certainly have had a 'beechnut' happen to us via GE....lets get a move on folks......I dont know
what was happening in GE's hey-day but it certainly didn't translate into foundation building.......but it did end up in a bunch of cheaters car trunks....... >

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

I am working to bring a respected smal business to Rotterdam.  It all started with a
personal invitation (by yours truly) to consider coming moving into our town.

I suggest that we all work positively -- to try to bring more small businesses into Rotterdam.

Just read a follow-up to this on another thread and I am also curious about your progress.   When will you announce who the "respected  business" is and when will they be setting up shop?

It is not up to me to make the announcement.   All I can say that they are planning to move to Rotterdam.
