I am actually considering at this time exactly how I want to vote on Tuesday.  Since I am a registered Conservative, I have 2 primaries to vote in.

First, I have Lazio against Ralph Lorigo.  No question.  Lazio is no conservative.  A vote for Lorigo on this line is a vote for Carl Paladino on the Republican line.  Paladino for the people.

Second, I have the State Senate seat, which Hugh Farley is the designee.  There is no second person on the line, but there is the possibility to write in.

Should I not vote for Farley and not write anybody in, since Farley is not truly "conservative?"

Should I vote for Farley to keep Albany as conservative as possible, even though he only votes how the county legislature (or Sue Savage) tells him to?

Or do I do the last thing on my mind and write in Savage, to show where the party has gone and to possibly get some change needed in Albany, since Farley has been there too long?  It just might improve Schenectady County if Savage is shipped to Albany.

Make good points so that I can make a decision.  Less than 48 hours until the polls close.

I am one who can admit when I'm wrong, unlike others who may say that they can see my point, then continue down the same path.

Sorry, but there's not currently a primary for town clerk...unless you're saying you'd like to be the next State Senator.

It was a joke .. "if you don't know who to write in for State Senate .. you could write in my name"
.. just a joke .. that was all
I don't plan to run for the State Legislature until Susan Savage retires from the State Senate
or Angelo Santabarbara retires from the State Assembly.

Getting back to the original question  "what's a conservative to do?" -- there is a real chance that the
Conservative Party will not get 50,000 votes state-wide with Lazio at the top of the ticket.   Which leads me to wonder where will all the "conservatives" go after their party disappears ?

It won't be to the Democratic Party unless the blue dogs take the party back from the far left radicals.

This "blue dog" Democrat has never left the party ...  I say lets put out the welcome mat for the many
"Reagan Democrats" who left   30 years ago  .. and the many moderate conservatives who haven't felt
welcome under our big tent for about the same number of years.

Well without the Democratic Party -- there is NO hope.

Want to bet, there have been many good Rep administrations in our history, lets not forget that before 1965 the Dem party worked to keep blacks from voting and denying them civil rights.
