As was probably part of the appliance store moving to a location with 1000% better visibilty and for those who think the old location should have been good for business....it is for sale so move your business there, especially if it is coming from Albany or another county.......

Sounds good to me! Let the taxpayers pay for the revamping of the building and then let the taxpayers pay my share of property taxes!!

Funny though....the 'appliance businesses' wasn't looking to relocate in schenectady. In fact they were planning on moving right out of the county....UNTIL....the metroplex gave them a 'tax paid' offer they just couldn't refuse!!

Politics did not make this move by the bank, business planning did, end of story, sounds like this thread is solved.  As was probably part of the appliance store moving to a location with 1000% better visibilty and for those who think the old location should have been good for business....it is for sale so move your business there, especially if it is coming from Albany or another county.......

and  -- the fact of the matter is that Pioneer investing in a new building in Rotterdam  IS AN ACOMPLISHMENT  .. and it happened during the current administration ---   so there is absolutely nothing wrong with saying that Pioneer's decision to build in Rotterdam was an important accomplishment in 2010.

You folks are so quick to attack if a business closes or moves ... but refuse to give a compliment when a business decides TO STAY AND GROW.

point being IT WAS PIONEERS CHOICE......not the governments......by you really like that government teet......
the problem with this ADMIN and past ADMIN's is the lack of comprehensive planning....it has always been for the 'quickie feelgood' and
quick buck....never about future impact/planning/foresight.....the windows for the senior center?--really? really? that's foresight
and planning as a whole? we need a patina/class/style and longevity....not some get quick rich scheme and pats on the a$$

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Your comments about my views are not just nonsense but complete bull sh*t.  I support economic developmof ALL kinds -- not just projects funded by Metroplex.   And I have explained  MY position about Metroplex  several times and you and your ilk  continue to lie and distort my position.

Back to the Pioneer Bank project -- bottom line -- the fact that Pioneer Bank has chosen to build a new building in town for its branch and some administrative offices   IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT  ... and no amount of bull sh*t from   GB, senders, MC or any other thumb sucking nayboob   is going to change the fact that it is a positive accomplishment.
