WOW Such behavior Mr Bonnet.  I was not molested by my grandpa but then again my mother was not a floozie to let something like that happen.  Sounds like you might be a victim of some type of mental abuse as a child.  Does the Prozac help?  Doesn't sound like it does.  All I did was comment on the Edgewood and you go off.  Are you normal for such a reaction?  I pray for your soul whomever you are.

Oh good, pray for Bonnet's soul. Thanks, coming from Rasputin then that is a big plus. I am sure God will hear your democrap prayers. Thank you for the concern. You are very sweet!

If mallozzi's helped in the demise of the edgewood, which I highly doubt, that is capitalism. It is called competition. Some survive and some don't. It's just the way it is!

I heard that the owners had a falling out years ago actually. But then again, that is just rumor which is typical for rotterdam.

I think Edgewood died of its own "natural causes" -- it was good in its day but that day passed.

Shrinking shopping site
Marv Cermak

With a little help from my friends, I learn there is a deal in the works involving the Pioneer Savings Bank purchasing the former Edgewood Restaurant in Rotterdam.

Pioneer has been operating a branch bank at the nearby Hannaford Plaza for about three decades. The two Altamont Avenue locations are only minutes apart.

The Edgewood was a big-time popular combination dining/dancing/banquet house for more than a half-century before closing in 2002.

After that, an Asian restaurant operated there for a brief period before folding. The property with a $1 million asking price has been vacant for several years. A transition from restaurant to bank will require extensive renovations.

A move by Pioneer would add to an exodus of tenants from the once fully occupied Hannaford Plaza. Just several weeks ago, CVS Pharmacy moved to another location after more than 30 years at the mall. Owners of Scarborough's Restaurant, another longtime tenant, are seeking a new location off Route 7 in Latham.

Other businesses have left the mall including Label Shopper, Payless Shoes and dental offices and all the former quarters remain empty. Hollywood Video, a free-standing building on mall property, has been vacant since closing several weeks ago..............>>>>................>>>>...............http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Rotterdam-wants-property-on-tax-roll-657128.php#page-1

I almost think that it was better when it was 2 different shopping centers, back in the days of Jamesway, or at least if they would have a continuous building on the Wal-Mart side instead of all separate establishments.

I think you will find that the bank moving to the "Edgewood site" will be a good move for Rotterdam.
That is all that I can say about it at the moment.

Now, the question is, did Metroplex provide assistance with this move?  You know, their habit of moving jobs from one area to another and calling it "development", while leaving a vacant eyesore someplace else.

banks are virtual.....the only reason there are still buildings is to 'help with trasition' to the new no-cash system.......when all electronically sign via finger
prints and RealID.....who needs buildings except to house criminals......oh yeah that would be the Fed Reserve....they are already housed

What's false?  It starts with a question. It goes on to state facts (thinking of certain appliance store on Crane Street, and others)
