The very day after Glenn Beck cried at the Beckapalooza (and got all that free media coverage) he launched a new business...
A news and opinion website Business called "The Blaze ".
Of course we all know that Beck wouldn't host the Beckapalooza just to further his growing empire... WOULD HE?
He wouldn't have used the excuse of "Restoring Honor", just to make a buck... would he?
WOULD HE???
Beck isn't that greedy that he would take advantage of the American Military, as well as the good name of MLK, JUST TO LAUNCH A NEW BUSINESS VENTURE... RIGHT???
(He does describe himself as a "rodeo clown" so who knows. I fear that Beck gives rodeo clowns a bad name).

In 2009, Beck is reported to have earned $32 million through a mix of books, radio, TV, digital media, and speaking fees. Beckapalooza will help sales and make 2010 even more profitable for Beck.

Beck waves to the crowd...(and whispers under his breath) "Thanks Suckas!"

"According to Beck, The Blaze is named after an 18th Century daily publication issued by a pudgy, cross-eyed Calvinist preacher named George Whitefield, arguably the founder of the American evangelical movement.

The modern iteration of Calvinism, by the way, is the basis for Christian Reconstructionism, a seriously disturbing effort to replace the Constitution with biblical theocratic law. Oh, and it's worth mentioning that Whitefield was staunchly pro-slavery. In fact, when slavery was outlawed in Georgia, Whitefield successfully lobbied to have it reinstated in 1751, arguing that it was crucial to the economy. He's good people. Inspirational!

Does all of this sound familiar?"

Democrats have always been the racist party. The race favored has changed according to the political winds, but they have always been racist.

Throughout most of the 20th century, the South was called "the Solid South," which really meant it was solidly Democrat and solidly against letting blacks vote or hold any important office.

It was probably LBJ who was chiefly responsible for the change. Though thoroughly racist himself (he regularly used the "N-word" when referring to black people, though not of course when speaking publicly), he recognized that a political tide was turning and made sure to capitalize on it. When he became president after JFK's assassination, he began his "Great Society" programs which pandered strongly to blacks. Speaking to two Democratic congressmen aboard Air Force One, when they questioned the aims of his Great Society programs, Johnson famously replied, "I'll have those n****rs voting Democratic for 200 years!"
Source(s):
The LBJ quote is found in several sources, including Ronald Kessler's book "Inside the White House." LBJ's frequent use of the "N-word" is well shown in Robert A. Caro's mammoth and definitive multi-volume biography, "The Years of Lyndon Johnson."

Blacks were given the right to vote in 1870. The law that was passed in 1965, was to bar "inequality of suffrage", and to bar any given county (most offenders being in the south, and places that are now more commonly known as "red states") from making up their own rules when it came to qualifying for voter status.

Vague bullshiat "problems" and vague bullsit "solutions"

My problem with the "rally" - and all teabagger fests - was that it was "all sound and fury...signifying nothing"

It was a bunch of fkn buzzwords which never congealed into anything resembling a detailed, well thought out analysis of the "problems" facing America and the practical steps that should be taken to fix said problems.

If he and the other speakers had addressed it that way, I almost certainly would have disagreed with them, but I'd give them credit for thinking it out.

I heard nothing anything like that. It was the American version of "God is great." Vague buzzwords meant to invoke images of bald eagles shedding tears, with the American flag reflected on those tears.

So, I am vexed. What did they gather about? Against what? For what? How to go forward?

Vague, non-committal buzzwords...that's all.

Glen Beck is a national embarrassment.

Nope. Just a problem with blasphemes who invoke his name for monitary or political gain.
All the while exibiting some of the least Christ like behavior I've ever seen.

It's not just Beck either. It's fully most of the teabaggers, and their shepards.
