Re Aug. 19 letter, “Obama out of touch, as mosque stance shows”: I question JoAnn Masterson’s prediction that Obama will become a one-term president in 2014. While possible, I wouldn’t bet serious money on it actually happening. Given Obama’s Chicago win-at-anycost political style, plus the voters’ continuing debate about his loyalty to God, country, allies, taxpayers, party members, etc., I would counsel [Vice President] Joe Biden to keep his resume current. With Obama’s ratings, and the economy, employment and housing all in free-fall, Obama could become concerned, ditch Biden, embrace [Secretary of State] Hillary Clinton for vice president and ride her aura to a second term in 2014. Hillary would lunge at the opportunity to hitch up her pantsuit and move back to the White House in 2014, where Bill could plot her ascension and his resurrection in 2016. (Only in America: three co-presidents!)
