Ron your definition of constructive is seriously flawed. All you do is say how great democrats are and how bad republicans are... That is NOT constructive!

so higher out of town people at higher rates then the qualifies in town person, your right Bigger Problems!

Your side hired an out of towner to be our assessor -- and he is one of the BIGGEST problems in
town hall.
They also hired a city law firm for "town law firm" -- supposedly to save money -- but that ended up
costing us at least twice as much.

Actually, if you read my posts .. I have criticized policies or actions of members of my own party  AND
have pointed out the good policies or actions of members of other parties.

In my opinion that is constructive -- and quite frankly that is the only opinion that I need to worry about.

DVR shape up.  If you are going to post, then you have to worry or atleast be conscious of the other opinions that come up on this board.  You are a Democrat--but not enough for me.  I am a huge liberal compared to you but I still am concerned with your opinion.

To the rest--DVR is correct on his post about the assessor and the law firm.  The law firm, who was in bed with Tomassone, drained the money from the senior center.  And in the end, they were worthless.  The assessor is a bigotted nightmare who should have already been dismissed.  What's the hold-up DVR?  You seem to be in the know with the boys in the band.

The supervisor has the prerogative to hire whomever he wants for his Confidential Secretary.
She does a great job.   So does Diane and every other administrative assistant/clerical person that
I have met at town hall.   They don't deserve to be drawn into your nefarious political diatribes.

First, I am conscious of other opinions.
Second, I didn't get the memo that that grades "how much of a Democrat one is" -- sorry if you
disagree with some of my opinions  .. I respect your opinions and I will remain active in the
Democratic Party because I believe we are a "big tent party" .. where a broad range of views are
not only appreciated but expected.

As for the Assessor, the Tomassone administration signed him on to a long term contract -- 5 years.
Not to many ways to remove him --- short of him committing a felony.

it was never assessed at 100% because it was a sleeper town of GE and who needed to pay taxes but for GE......so here we are now finally almost
caught up with the future......and the past just pissed it all away....that's why we are 'behind the times'......

That may be true -  just like all things - we can't change the past  but we can start working today to
prepare for a better future.

The Supervisor can hire whomever he wants to be his Confidetial Secretary. What I don't recall is the Town Board meeting approving a written contract for the Assessor. Has anyone actually seen this so called contract DVR?  Please post it for us to see.  Otherwise you speak with forked tongue.

I have never seen the contract but was told by a highly placed person in the new administration that
the current assessor had been signed to a contract -- that was why he could not just be fired.
If you want to see the  contract, then go to town hall and file a freedom of information request.

You stated that the previous admin "signed" the assessor to a five year contract. I don't recall the public hearing, town board meeting or the vote for a contract with the assessor. Don't make us taxpayers file FOILS for non existent legal bindings.  You want to play with the big dogs do your homework.  Shape up!
