Cuomo makes campaign stop in Schenectady

Last Update: 8/13 10:57 pm

Democratic nominee for New York governor, Andrew Cuomo made two stops in the Capital Region Friday, one in Johnston, the other in Schenectady.

He was at an event at Proctor's Theater.

The stop is part of his 62 county drive for New York.

Como continued to focus his campaign on high property taxes in New York and how they can be controlled with a cap.

“You know what’s really killing this state in my opinion? Worse than the state income tax?” said Cuomo. “Is the property taxes. The property taxes; I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me, and said ‘Andrew I can’t afford to live in this state anymore. I can’t afford to stay in the home.’”

Thursday, the powerful New York State Teachers Union announced it would not be throwing its support behind Cuomo in the race for governor.

You hit the nail right on the head this time booms.........Cuomo like ALL politicians tell sheople what they WANT to hear....never ever the truth. Thats what liberal socialists do best!

And he had the audacity to stand up in proctors....one of the largest recipients of taxpayer's dollars, to spread his bullcrap about high property taxes. Just setting foot in schenectady with his other tax and spend democratic counterparts was a clear slap in the face to every single taxpayer in schenectady county!! It is HIS party (savage, stratton and crew)  that got schenectady county in this mess!!

the dems better hurry up and create more government hand out programs so they can garner more votes from the 'underserved'. Perhaps they can recruit ACORN to lend a hand!

Benny is right........you just can't make this crap up!!

How can this city be in the top 10 highest taxed counties in the country and look like a dump all except for that 2 block area around Proctors. With the amount of tax dollars that the taxpayers in this county have spent on Proctors we should all get free passes to every show.

As usual Shadow nails it! Instead of free passes for the overtaxed County sheeple Mercury Morris has an opening gala for swells at $150 a pop. SS brought her whole crew. Did you hear about Proctor's finances?-lol-

Did you hear that the County has a $24 MILLION surplus? Right Saratoga County where the REPS are still firmly in control. Anyone that thinks another Cuomo is the answer should run to a psychologist.

Well Paladino and Lazio are certainly not the solution.
