I speculate that the old Sorrento's might be the perfect place for a relocation for 4 Corners. How about Shoparama Pizza. S-H-I-T happens. Cry in your beer today and drink Krystall tomorrow. I betcha the Hot antipasta packs a wallop. TeeHee

ROTTERDAM Fire’s cause is still unclear Officials say they don’t think blaze at plaza is suspicious BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
Frank Anderson stared blankly at the sign condemning the fi re-ravaged offi ce of Anderson Blacktop and Seal Coating off of Guilderland Avenue. Fire had collapsed a large swath of the small commercial plaza’s roof, including a section hanging over Anderson’s office. He wasn’t sure what he could rescue from the spot he began renting three years ago but held out hope that his business fi les survived. “I owned a building on State Street [in Schenectady] for 22 years and never had a problem,” he lamented Wednesday. “When I rent, I have a fire. But that’s the way things are.” Anderson’s losses from the blaze fortunately didn’t include his equipment, most of which was on site at a job when flames broke out shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday. And he was thankful none of his employees were injured. “This is just office,” he said. “An offi ce is replaceable.” Fire investigators still don’t have an exact cause for what touched off the fire that ripped through the building, leaving a number of small business owners looking to salvage their livelihoods. State and Schenectady County fi re officials spent more than six hours Wednesday digging through the wreckage in a back office of 4 Corners Pizza where the fire originated but were unable to determine a cause. “There are some things we couldn’t rule out,” county Fire Coordinator John Nuzback said. “We don’t think it’s suspicious.” Nuzback said that only two individuals were inside the building when the fire broke out. A cook was preparing to open 4 Corners Pizza when he discovered the blaze, and a tenant was in an adjoining apartment sleeping. Both of them were able to vacate the building safely. Investigators are still looking into a report that a candle may have been left burning inside the restaurant. But Nuzback said that they have found no evidence of that, and the fleeing worker couldn’t recall seeing one lit. .......................>>>>................................>>>>..............http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01304&AppName=1
ROTTERDAM -- Fire investigators have so far been unable to determine the cause of the fire that started in the rear office of a pizzeria, according to Schenectady County Fire/EMS Coordinator John Nuzback.
Officials remained at Four Corners Pizza & Italian Eatery until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and were back at 2809 Guilderland Avenue near Curry Road by 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire also gutted First Class Products, which according to its website makes imprints and embroiders logos and designs on sportswear and promotional items.
Asked about reports that a candle inside the pizzeria may have ignited the blaze, Nuzback said "we have not been able to rule the candle in or out and we're continuing to investigate." One of the co-owners of the popular pizzeria has said they would like to reopen the eatery.
Despite our political differences, I hope that Mr. Parisi and his associates can rebuild soon and get back to business. They did serve pretty good pizza.

This is no time to be making jokes. This is a tragedy. Anytime someone sticks their neck out as a small business they risk a lot. I wouldn't even have the guts to do it. I can't imagine losing my livelihood in a matter of a few hours.
The firefighters risk their lives with little compensation to try to keep us safe. They volunteer their time and get a small pension at some point. We are lucky to have individuals willing to put their lives in such danger.
I hope these businesses come back and are stronger and even more successful.
We should be thankful no one was hurt or killed.
Knock off the jokes, they aren't funny. They are telling of people that are twisted.
It aint' Parisi who is really hurt, it is the workers who draw their paychecks there who are now out of work.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
As twisted as the way you GOPers have run down our beloved Town Clerk? That I might add you were part of HH. She is a human being. We are talkin about a shady pizza joint for crissakes. Get real HH. You reek of hypocrisy Mary Mary quite CONTRARY!.
This was GP's pizzaria? I have been out of town for a week and just heard. If it was GP's I agree with GB, other than ending up with one more thing to contend with this will not "ruin" GP's life. However, for those who worked inside, I am sure part of the working poor, their lives are in cinders. Too bad for everyone involved.
As twisted as the way you GOPers have run down our beloved Town Clerk?
Hey, some may not agree with the motives, but wasn't it our beloved town clerk who admittedly broke the law? If our beloved town clerk didn't break the law, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I'm no GP fan, but it is quite amusing that the whistle blower is the bad guy!
Only in rotterdam!!!

Well Diane, I feel Eunice needs to do the job following the letter of the law or step down. I'm not alone in that sentiment. She's a wonderful person. Her helpful attitude got her in trouble. Whoever is the next TC needs to be aware you can be too compassionate and get into the same predicament.
I would like to see her go out as the dedicated public servant she has always been and not the subject of controversy. At least she admitted to her mistake. Takes a lot of courage to be so honest.
How many cat licenses did Eunice issue? Probably not many. She didn't agree with collecting fees for cat licenses. She got my $5.00 whether she wanted it or not. It's a law and I immediately complied.
Lots of folks depended on the building that just burned down and someone even lived there. That's no laughing matter ever.
