Camp Tippecanoe...great memories!    I guess you could say it was displaced by development.  It's unfortunate that the conservationist who sells "junk science" wasn't around at the time.

I am sure that shooting arrows now would be grounds for calling the federal anti-terror squad and sending the kids home and having family court order counseling.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Local police would now have 12 detectives draw overtime as well, and arrest the camp counselors, in a coordinated raid with BATF, ENCON, OSHA and local building inspectors as well, I am sure. The parents might even lose custody of the kids once Child Protective got in on it.

We live in a tyranny.

so true

a day at camp

softball or kickball at the upper field on the flat of princetown rd - no fence

crafts - the use of knives  - three cabins just below the pool

morning meeting in the telephone pole ringed chapel  - ticks

trailwalks - from the old black bridge where the D&H and Conrail intersect to the girls side of the camp whereBJ's is now - no real trail bridges handrails guide or safety ropes

bonfires - between the main lodge and the pool - open uncontrolled flame

archery -  to the left of the main lodge - hell you could shoot that arrow anywhere

food - pepsi for a dime in a pop top can - shake and spray, egg salad sandwichs on a hot summer day - oh my stomach

the tree swing across the crick on the side of the large hill made from an old rope tow rope

looking back many lessons learned and times that cant be replaced

i forgot the middle field - where the appts off pricetown near the phillips road bridge are

All of those things are declared unsafe, hazardous, dangerous, offensive and illegal now because of the feminization of America by liberalism. Thanks, democraps for ruining our country with your crap.

Tip,
Thanks for the memories.  I remember going to camp there...albeit in the early 80's, still before these things were outlawed.  The pool was quite cold, and they were still shooting archery...even got a feather from one of the arrows stuck in my finger one day.  Used to hike down a short path into the woods for the all-night campouts.  If I remember correctly,  wasn't the archery range shooting towards the main building on the parking / pool level?

with your back to the pool facing the main lodge

archery was to the left into the hill

to the right below the pool 3 cabins and further down the lean-to
