Does the federal government know that this $13 millions dollars of taxpayer money will bring absolutely nothing of value to an area? There is no problem now with this road, yet the City decided to use this money to fix Erie Boulevard WHERE ABSOLUTELY NO ONE LIVES! Who does this help...NO ONE.

Just another wasted $13 million of federal tax money and another $700,000 of the City taxpayers money...to redo only a portion of Erie Boulevard. Pathetic and a complete waste of money in a City where there are many other neighborhoods which rightfully deserve this money.

I don't think the govt cares. What concerns me is that the Taxpayers may not realize that this money was taken from Mont Pleasant and Hamilton Hill to poke into Stratton's friends desire to make their own entrance to their facility pretty. Look up Hillary Clinton, Union College for February 2004 and you will see that $12 Million grant earmarked for Mont Pleasant and Hamilton Hill. You will also see Stratton's continuing bashing of Al J, the most honest man in Schenectady.

Here's what is coming for over $14 MILLION-BIKE PATHS! This is what the DEM morons want on Erie Blvd. More green nonsense. What kind of idiot will ride their bike to work winters at GE? Insane. A complete waste of State and City tax money. This is a City that can't afford $50,000 to knock down a house where a body laid of 3 weeks BUT it has over $1 million to flush for "traffic calming" and bike paths-where pedestrians used to be. The traffic jams and permanent loss of business from this moronic plan will be incalculable.

Then this dozy from the Gazetto; the cost is going up $300,000 for the CITY! But not to fret because the DEMS didn't take as much property as they first thought. It's still costing $300,000 MORE + $700,000= over $1 MILLION to CITY taxpayers. The fossil DEMS don't care about anything, long time businesses, horrible traffic and business dislocation, loss of tax revenue-it's all about the precious deal and helping a buddy. C'mon State DOT cut all funding to this Erie disaster.

The Erie Blvd project is more than just bike paths .. and of course the project costs have gone up .. every time that you delay a project .. the costs go up.

The only disaster in Schenectady are the Nattering Nayboobs of Negativity.
