When I was unemployed, I became an entrepreneur. I had no money except for a few bucks I saved, and a used car I had paid off so I got a personal loan from the bank at 14%. I don't have as much sympathy for folks who don't work for a year. I was not working for about 3 weeks when I figured out what to do, and I was offered unemployment assistance but turned it down.

Of course there are people who are unemployed, pounding the pavement daily for a job.....and nothing. Those people are clearly not 'lazy'. HOWEVER....there are also people out there who are loving their 99 week paid vacation. And because of the extra $25 obama throws in for good measure, some people are actually making out better. I didn't "find other work" I started a business on a shoestring and worked 90 hours a week to make it happen. Learn to comprehend what you read. Second, I didn't "get mine." I got nothing. I earned everything. Third, some people are MILKING IT. And that is why liberalism IS a mental disorder. You don't GET IT. You think everyone is getting a screwing from the American way of life! Some people Fu(k their own lives up with CHOICES. You know that term, don't you? The only time you use it is when you want to push unlimited abortion rights. CHOICES. I've occasionally come across posters that will 'lose it' on a message board... it seems to be common among those who's politics are to the Right. I think it has to do with a lack of tolerance of any opinion other than their own. (As if they actually knew it all)

I'm sure with all your entrepreneurial experience, you realize that there is only a small number of opportunities, and since the Bush Economic Meltdown, those opportunities have even diminished. Lots of unemployed... few opportunities = jobless.

Why such an arbitrary number? Why not 5% unemployment? Or 1% unemployment? Why only one for one - American for illegal? They are ILLEGAL!! They broke the LAW! None of them should be here. I agree, prosecute the employers also. And as you clearly state, it would probably be best if the illegal stay in his/her country of origin to protect them from the evil American employers from - as you put it - "steal" from them. It is clear that the AZ immigration law is a solution to many of America's woes.
