Congress is looking to prevent women's rights from going down the toilet -- literally.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will hold hearings Wednesday on the "Potty Parity Act," a bill that seeks to address the shoddy restroom facilities for women in federal buildings.

The bill would require any federal building constructed for public use to have similar toilets in women's and men's restrooms.

Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., chairman of the committee, authored the legislation, which is being cosponsored by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the ranking member on the panel.

Towns has said he is concerned that "exasperating lines" and overall restroom facilities for women were "an inconvenience seen in almost every type of public building."

"Our nation's history shows that the structure and accessibility of American public restrooms have served as manifestations of more deeply rooted problems of discrimination, among race, physical ability and gender," Towns said in a written statement last month.

"In 2010, we must move the clock forward by finally addressing an overdue problem of unequal, inadequate and inaccessible public restrooms for women," he said.

Our country is on the verge of going bankrupt and our mentally challenged Congress is worried about bathrooms in public buildings. Vote as many as we can out in November, then vote more out in 2012, and the rest out in 2014. We need a referendum on the ballot to create term limits for elected officials and we need to change the law that allows our elected officials to obtain raises without the approval of we the people IMHO.

OMG...what a waste.....here's something to chew on.....how about healthcare used to be cheaper when women did it for next to nothing and the stupid
pat on the back of "You do such good work. You will be repaid in heaven. You are doing G-d's work.".....guess what.....nurses(women's field) still make
less than warehouse workers......however, the students/unmarried doing "G-d's work" for next to nothing figured out that someone was piling on the
crap.......what a penile system......and dont think the public school sector(women's field) isn't much different.......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
