The next time any of the religions currently in the world from 1900 into the future kill anyone in the name of their religion I'll condemn them just as fast. Box you defend the Muslim religion as if it were a great peaceful religion but the truth is besides being full of terrorists, they treat women worse than we treat our pets, practice honor killings to this day, and stone women for adultery which they may or may not have committed.

You still don't get it do you Shadow.

I don't care about Anyone's religion... Inside the USA I defend anyone's religious preferences, as stated in the first amendment.  Other than that, I have no particular connection to Islam.

I see two problems with the current state of Right Wing Hysteria connected to Muslims and the Mosque...
1. The typical Conservative theme for drumming up dollars and support is "TO FIND A COMMON ENEMY!  It doesn't matter who it is... minorities are an easy target, the poor welfare people, again an easy target, Communists or Socialists are ALWAYS on the agenda...
The theme this year is to unite as many Americans with us AGAINST THE MUSLIMS (Then grab their fear donations to the GOP)
2.  The entire Islamophoba campaign is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE... IT HURTS AMERICA NOT HELP IT!  Americans are suspicious enough of Muslims because of the Sept 11 attacks, this hate campaign just adds to the hysteria.
If a Good American Muslim found out through his church, or his social friends, or his Muslim neighbors, about a suspected attack on the USA by Radical Muslims... not proof, but a suspicion, a hint of something...
What should he do?  GO to the Police???  (They hate him)
Go to his newspaper??? (They might print the story with HIM as the Culprit and use his information against him, just to get a ProConservative headline and sell papers.)
Should this Muslim-American tell his Right Wing neighbor???  It would just draw suspicion to himself... possibly get him killed.

For the hundredth time... ISLAMOPHOBES are part of the problem.  They make it worse.
The enemy is TERRORISTS using the  Muslim religion...
Just as.
The TERRORISTS disguised as Muslims Terrorize the Afghan people.

Fight the Muslims and you will lose.
Fight the Terrorists and you will probably win.

Box you have a very short memory it was a mosque in Virginia that was teaching that all who do not believe should be killed, and there have been honor killings in this country too so it's not just abroad that this is happening. I don't want any religion teaching that anyone who doesn't believe as I do should die no matter what religion it is and yes that applies to the Christians as well. We agree that in this country people from all religions should be free to worship without being persecuted until such time as they teach violence against other religions.

Christian Extremist Murder in the USA committed in the name of Jesus Christ... (Should we kill ALL Christians?)
~March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida was fatally shot during a protest. He had been the subject of wanted-style posters distributed by Operation Rescue in the summer of 1992.
~August 21, 1993 Dr. George Patterson, was shot and killed in Mobile, Alabama,
~July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton and James Barrett, a clinic escort, were both shot to death outside another facility in Pensacola. Rev. Paul Jennings Hill was charged with the killings.
~December 30, 1994: Two receptionists, Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols, were killed in two clinic attacks in Brookline, Massachusetts.
~January 29, 1998: Robert Sanderson, an off-duty police officer who worked as a security guard at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, was killed when his workplace was bombed.
~October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot to death at his home in Amherst, New York.
~May 31, 2009: Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed as he served as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.

Terrorists, Christian or Muslim are TERRORISTS, their religion is just an excuse... just a cover.

Most Christian leaders condemn these killings, but many Christian leaders excuse them or even advocate them.
Just as,
Most Muslim leaders condemn these killings, but many Muslim leaders excuse them or even advocate them.

The Extremist fringe in both cases, use the base religion as a cover and an excuse for their killings.

I don't think you want to kill all Muslims any more than you want to kill all Christians for their crimes.  Are you so bigoted that you can't separate the religion from the crime???

Did the people in the examples that you used go to a Catholic School where they were taught to kill those people or were they just nut jobs that just wanted to kill, there in is the difference, a few Muslim Mosques have been known to teach this type of behavior through education from an early age that people who don't believe as they do should be killed. You're clouding the issue again with BS. There are nut jobs in all religions but not many religions teach their folowers to kill.

Religious leaders on nightly television supported the Murder of abortion doctors.  Telling their Flock it's your responsibility to "do what ever necessary" to make sure these abortions stop.
YES there are so called Christian leaders who actively promoted Abortion murders, just as there are Muslim leaders that actively teach murder against Christians.
There have probably been as many innocent people murdered in our history, under the name of Christ as under the name of Allah.
Ask an Iraqi who killed the most Iraqi's they will say Christians.  Why did they kill them... To rid the world of Muslims... And you seem to agree with their fears.

Go ahead Shadow... go out and kill a few Muslim kids... see if you feel better.  See if you can justify that with your Christian Vengeance.  Increase the hatred until there is nothing BUT hatred.
Start a religious war and donate your family to go fight your Religious war against the Muslims.
Just like the totally optional war in Iraq, go sign up and go bleed for your convictions killing Muslims. Good Luck.  Every Muslim you kill will add 3 of his family members against you. Just as you would fight to avenge your family members killed.

I know that most Muslims and most Christians want PEACE.

Box you just love to try to put words in people mouths that they never said, I don't condone violence from any religion and I don't hate or want to harm Muslims. I expect other religions to respect my beliefs and not teach their followers to kill me or my family because I believe differently than they do period. I don't know where you get your facts about other religions teaching their followers to kill doctors who perform abortions as I've never seen or heard any of them on TV. Just keep those peace loving Muslims from flying planes into our buildings and killing our citizens. The one point I will agree with is that most Muslims are peace loving people it's the other ones I object to.

there should be NOTHING short of a WTC monument at that location. Nothing religious and nothing political!!! Just a monument....plain and simple. It is AMERICA'S tragedy!! It should be a monument that ALL AMERICANS can visit in remembrance just like Pearl Harbor.

And although we all have our own opinions....let's not make this piece of American soil, anything more than what it is......A MONUMENT TO REMEMBER AMERICA'S TRAGEDY!!

And that is exactly how Bloomberg should have put it out the the press right from day one!!

The actual WTC site IS an actual monument... just like you want it to be, and it should be.

Surrounding the site, on private property, with no connection to the WTC except that it's in the general neighborhood, along with Dunkin Donuts, Pizza Hut, a few churches and a news stand or two, will be a Muslim Mosque.

For those not familiar with lower Manhattan, the proposed mosque is NOT at the World Trade Center site but 2 blocks north in an abandoned warehouse- ( the Burlington Coat factory)

Palin triggers NY mosque Twitter fray
By: Maggie Haberman
July 18, 2010 08:00 PM EDT

Sarah Palin, who waded into a New York political fight by endorsing Ann Marie Buerkle in NY-25, is drifting into a decidedly higher-charged battle: The fray over a planned mosque near Ground Zero.

"Peace-seeking Muslims, pls understand, Ground Zero mosque is UNNECESSARY provocation; it stabs hearts. Pls reject it in interest of healing," she tweeted Sunday.

The building’s planners, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative, have said it’s modeled on religious and community centers such as the YMCA, and that the 13-story, $100 million building would also include an arts center, gym and a swimming pool, as well as a mosque. It would be two blocks away from Ground Zero.

The project, which has become an increasingly partisan issue in New York, received a renewed burst of national attention when CBS and NBC rejected an ad from the National Republican Trust PAC that crosscut footage of the 9/11 attacks with the sounds of Muslim prayer.

"On Sept. 11, they declared war against us," a narrator says. "And to celebrate that murder of 3,000 Americans, they want to build a monstrous 13-story mosque at ground zero."

While a recent poll showed a majority of New Yorkers oppose the plan to build the mosque built near Ground Zero, an aide in Mayor Michael Bloomberg's City Hall hit back at Palin, first tweeting “@SarahPalinUSA mind your business." ......................>>>>......................>>>>....................http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0710/39899.html

Newt Gingrich, pushing prejudice at Ground Zero
Network NewsXPROFILE

By Richard Cohen
Tuesday, August 3, 2010

Newt Gingrich, his doctorate notwithstanding, has offered us an illogical and ahistorical context to the ugly dispute about building an Islamic cultural center and mosque near Manhattan's Ground Zero. For a while, I thought that Sarah Palin and others would be the only ones to reap the political benefit of exploiting anti-Muslim sentiment, but Gingrich was not to be denied. With a preposterous solemnity, he expounded the schoolyard doctrine of tit for tat.

Gingrich noted that there "are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia." True enough. However, it is not the government of Saudi Arabia that seeks to open a mosque in Lower Manhattan, but a private group. In addition, and just for the record, Saudi Arabia does not represent all of Islam and, also just for the record, the al-Qaeda terrorists who murdered nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001, would gladly have added the vast Saudi royal family to the list of victims. In recompense, the Saudis would just as gladly apply some dull swords to the necks of al-Qaeda's leaders. It is the way of the desert, or something like that.

I would also note that women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia. Applying Gingrichian logic, it follows that no Muslim women should be allowed to drive in the United States and its possessions and territories -- or, for that matter, use a BlackBerry, since the United Arab Emirates is about to block some of its key functions. I'm sure Gingrich would agree.

Gingrich's statement, written as an op-ed essay, employs two of his favorite words. The first is "they," as in, "And they lecture us about tolerance." Indeed they do -- and what nerve. After all, "they" are themselves intolerant, which not only means that we should be too but also raises the question of who "they" are. A fair parsing of his essay reveals almost nothing about the identities of this nefarious "they." It seems to be the people who support the mosque as well as Muslims everywhere, a large and amorphous group whose commonality is the enmity of Gingrich himself. In reality, this is the demagogic they, the "they" that permits wild generalizations, as long as it is of minority groups lacking political power and thus safely demonized.

Gingrich's other favorite word is "elites." In his role as Newt the Lionhearted, he would lead a crusade against "double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us while they demand our weakness and submission." Yea, verily, yea. And who would succumb to such pressure? "Sadly," it is "our elites" -- "the willing apologists for those who would destroy them if they could." Thank God that Gingrich, with his several degrees, multiple marriages, ample fame and commensurate income, is somehow not one of the elites and can, as soon as he mounts up and gets into makeup, save us by, would you believe, possibly running for president.

Nineteen so-called "jihadists" crashed four airplanes that day in 2001. This is 19 out of about 1.5 billion Muslims in the world, an infinitesimally tiny percentage indeed. Nonetheless, this math is lost on the likes of, say, Rick Lazio, who is running for New York governor and, probably as a consequence, is a vociferous anti-mosqueteer. He of all people should know that it is unfair to judge an entire people by the criminal behavior of a few: capiche?.................>>>>................>>>>................http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/08/02/AR2010080203721.html

Groups sues to stop mosque planned near ground zero
BY JENNIFER PELTZ The Associated Press

NEW YORK — The debate over a planned Islamic community center and mosque near ground zero became a court fi ght Wednesday, as a conservative advocacy group sued to try to stop a project that has become a fulcrum for balancing religious freedom and the legacy of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The American Center for Law and Justice, founded by the Rev. Pat Robertson, filed suit Wednesday to challenge a city panel’s decision to let developers tear down a building to make way for the mosque two blocks from ground zero.
The city Landmarks Preservation Commission moved too fast in making a decision, underappreciated the building’s historic value and “allowed the intended use of the building and political considerations to taint the deliberative process,” lawyer Brett Joshpe wrote in papers fi led in a Manhattan state court. The Washington, D.C.-based group represents a fi refi ghter who responded to and survived the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center.
City attorneys are confi dent the landmarks group adhered to legal standards and procedures, Law Department spokeswoman Kate O’Brien Ahlers said. A spokesman for the planned Islamic center, Oz Sultan, declined to comment on the lawsuit but said organizers were continuing to work toward choosing an architect.
The mosque has become a national political flashpoint, pitting several influential Republicans and the nation’s most prominent Jewish civil rights group against New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and others. In one of the latest signs of the issue’s political reach beyond Manhattan, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick expressed support Wednesday for the proposed mosque.
The group behind the $100 million project, the Cordoba Initiative, describes it as a Muslim-themed community center. Early plans call not only for prayer space but for a swimming pool, culinary school, art studios and other features. Developers envision it as a hub for interfaith interaction, as well as a place for Muslims to bridge some of their faith’s own schisms. ..................>>>>........................>>>>.....................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01603&AppName=1
