Looking at the preborn child, it is easy to see why so many women choose life after seeing an ultrasound.

This is why Planned Parenthood is againt ultrasounds. PP loses money.

Ultrasound is a very safe procedure — no x-rays are involved.

Bill Forcing Pre-Abortion Ultrasound Goes To Crist

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) ―

Who's Who In The 2010 Kentucky Derby Celebrities As Superheroes A controversial health bill containing a few anti-abortion measures has passed the Republican-led Legislature and is on its way to Governor Charlie Crist's desk.

The bill (HB 1143) passed the House on Friday, 76-44 after four hours of emotionally-charged debate. The Senate passed the bill on Thursday.

Democrats were particularly upset that the bill requires women to pay for expensive ultrasound exams even if they don't want to see the image. The only way a woman seeking an abortion could avoid being forced to see the image would be to provide a legal document that she had been raped or a victim of incest or domestic violence.

Democrats said it was little more than an attempt to persuade women they shouldn't have an abortion.

Some say this bill could be a test of how Crist will handle his new independent streak; the bill ended up on his desk the day after he announced he would run for the U.S. Senate seat as an independent.

Charlie Crist is "pro-life" but has not forcefully pushed legislation in that regard. Earlier this month, he vetoed hot-button Senate Bill 6 – the so-called "Merit Pay Bill" for teachers. What will he do with this?

"I think he would be crazy not to veto it," Miami Beach Democratic State Senator Dan Gelber told CBS4's Michael Williams. "I mean, the truth of the matter is, I think most Floridians think it is an extreme invasion into a woman's right to choose."

"The Governor has to have some sort of base in order to win candidacy to be a U.S. Senator. Signing this bill I think would have a very clear – send a very clear message to the pro-life movement that he is still with them on that issue," Miami Republican State Senator Anitere Flores told Williams.

The Governor has ten days to decide whether to veto it.

maybe it's the ultrasounds giving all the kids those nasty ear infections??? ---- or maybe just instigating them.......

Guess it depends:

"Abortion bill requires ultrasound, conception pamphlet

Allison Gee, Vice President Public Policy for Planned Parenthood, said the bill is immoral and a state-mandated ideology. Different faiths have different views as to when life begins, Gee said, and physicians shouldn't be forced to present info they don't agree with."

P.S. Planned Barrenhood DOES make a profit, so why do they receive our tax dollars?

Too bad Charlie Crist is such a pro-life phony, and phony in many ways.

I hope Rubio wins.

Please tell anyone in NY’s capital district, who you think might be interested in seeing this prolife documentary, Blood Money. The movie will be at the Madison Theater in Albany, NY. Details here:

http://www.madison-theater.com/

It appears the Spectrum chickened out, but I don’t think the Madison will, but you might want to call to confirm first.

The film's website is http://www.bloodmoneyfilm.com, if you wish to see the trailer.

I think folks are well aware of where babies come from.....the fact remains that even when born, no one knows what to do with them.....but, we let the government tell us what to do with them...hence
pro-life or pro-choice battles........

the problem doesn't lie in the conception but in the animal instinct(brain chemicals for sex) to copulate.......

with or without an abortion it seems that it always comes down to ooopsie, I cant believe this happened.........

PP doesn't make a profit...there are no owners taking home more money because of a bid year in abortions.  And they aren't against the ultrasound, they are against the forced ultrasound for abortions.  No one should be forced to do that, it plays on emotions.

You don't do much research, do ya?

"Planned Parenthood’s obscene profits

By Michelle Malkin  •  June 4, 2008 08:16 AM My syndicated column this week turns the spotlight on the nefarious business practices of the government-funded, billion-dollar Planned Parenthood empire. Congress has interrogated banking, energy, tobacco, and oil execs–treating them like serial killers before the cameras. When will they go after a corrupt industry that has real blood on its hands?

On a related front, pro-life groups are pushing Bush to de-fund the abortion industry. “Centrist” Republicans are balking. Conservative GOP Rep. Mike Pence, leading the effort to cut the abortion subsidies, is “befuddled” by the White House’s reticence on the issue. "

Cool, you found an angry blogger with ranting headlines and call that research.  As a non-profit they don't have investors or stock holders that dividends are given to. So any revenue over expenses is rolled back into the program in the form of increased marketing or opening more centers.

And that wasn't part of the issue.  You said PP is against ultrasounds...which they clearly are not.  They are against FORCED ultrasounds.
