Gadfly, couple of things.  I agree 100% it should go out to bid.

Parisi most certainly voted to create the ambulance service and then setting the date for the vote.  The town board had to adopt the resolution BEFORE it could go to a vote, because it is the action of the town board that the voters would actually ratify.

You seem to be pretty good at seeing throuigh the BS, surprised Parisi has been successful in pulling one on over you.

Also, how does Mertz's job depend on him keeping his mouth shut and staying out of political battles?  Are you saying someone threatened his job?  If so, who?  I also highly doubt you know what you're talking about on this.

It doesn't matter weather GP supports rems or not. Not at this point any way. He will be long gone off this town board come november. It also doesn't matter to the electorate weather FS is GP's lap dog or not. Again.....what is the alternative to the electorate? Sparky the cat would have a shot at this seat!

Gadfly.....why does mertzie have to keep quiet? Who told him to and why? Does he have damaging information or supporting information, if any at all. I am more inclined to believe that this is just the usual unsubstantiated, rumor coming out of the 'rotterdam politics as usual' cesspool with no validity what so ever. Perhaps?

I wasn't suggesting the ems service should go to bid...how do you BID on PAYING THE TOWN to provide a service, as opposed to the
other way around? It is my position that there is no need for a tax, no need for a vote and no need for a bid.

I don't know exactly what you think Parisi is pulling on me, but I was there when the vote took place...Parisi did not have a vote...
he was not a Board Member at the time. He did vote for the mandatory referendum to be placed on the ballot this summer...but he
also supported stopping the process until all of the relevant information can be disseminated to the public.

You are free to doubt what I say about Mertz..but I know that he has been told in no uncertain terms that his political activity is over
for as long as he wants to keep the job he has....and I suppose that would constitute a threat...but that's the way it is.
Think about it Z...do you really believe that Mertz just suddenly lost interest in politics?

In the simplest terms, it was because of his spoiler campaign last year...and I know at least one of his fellow staffers was fired for their involvement.

Spoiler???? Someone doesn't get the endorsement from their own party and runs on an independent line is called a spoiler? I thought that was what people do....no?

So, for example, if Calder didn't get the dem endorsement and he ran as an independent.....he would be considered a spoiler???????

For that matter if ANYONE who wants to run for office doesn't get a major party endorsement and chooses to run on an independent line, is considered a spoiler????? Wouldn't that be an attempt to stifle the process?

Gadfly, how or why would the state reps give two craps about what happens in Rotterdam?

If he was considered the spoiler, did the town GOP chairman lodge a complaint with someone?  Even if a chairman lodges a complaint, it's a LOCAL issue, not a state GOP issue.  I'm not convinced that state leaders would give a town chairman (I assume GP) any say in who they fire.

Here's why it totally doesn't make sense, GP is running a primary against a state GOP elected official, so it seems to me that any state leader would hand him a big F-YOU and allow Mertz to cause as much trouble as he wants.  Matter of fact, I'd tell Mertz he HAD to run a primary against GP supporter FS or I would fire him!

Reality is that he probably got burned out and doesn't really care anymore.  That's the impression he gave me anyways.

Relax Zorro   Gadfly is talking to herself (Bumble) as if it isn't Mertz.  This is just a KR ruse to confuse you.   Best is to humor her in to thinking that you are not as smart as her but you really are.  HeHeHe

To be continued.......(Zorro) who might be Mertz but is def. not Bumble.  And if Mertz was Bumble then he would not be posting according to KR's intel but Zorro ran into him and he said he was "retired" yet he still posts on the board but is not sposed to but if the state finds out he is in big trouble but if they don't find out then he can still agitate and KR doesn't want people to realize she has a half dozen monikers on here and I am really Eunice in waiting..

I agree...that is allegedly Democracy...but they apparently do not see it that way. And if Caulder didn't get the Democrat nod, he
probably just wouldn't run.

Ah Diane, now I understand more about you ..

Quoted Text
The primary treatment for multiple personality disorder is therapy, which may include play therapy, hypnosis, art therapy, and/or talk therapy.

Therapy is usually a long process, particularly when one has suffered repeated trauma. It can take several years for the patient to begin to feel fully conscious at all times of his/her actions and thoughts. However, clinical research suggests that therapy for multiple  personality disorder is effective, if the therapy is continuously pursued.

Talk Therapy = this forum
Art Therapy = SC Center?

You're certainly one to talk about "multiple monikers" - let alone multiple personalities.

Didn't Salamone give his position on spot zoning during the Sync thing? I'm pretty sure he did, and that was well before he was trying to get votes. Seems like if you talk to him he will tell you his view on things that is if you bother to listen to him. Of course you can just put your fingers in your ears and yell really loud when he talks then come here and criticize him for not giving his view on things....

Calder and Salamone -

both need to come forward and say that they are either for or against a taxing district and or rems.

we have heard publically from mcgarry and tomaselli (gazette letters) - both whom have been rejected by rep party - that they are both against the taxing district  (so i guess we know how the local reps stand)

All salamone has done is Posture himself policitally in being for the people and wanting an open and fair election - but not once has he addressed the actual issue, why is a vote taking place? what are the options? etc.

quite frankly i dont think i am going to vote this year for either one - since i have no clue as to which candidate best represents my position

Spidey - did he read a prepared statement from gp?
