and btw I allowed him to use my property for his campaign signs.
Quid pro quo?????? That is just so rotterdam. People often assume that if they help support a candidate, such as placing campaign signs on their property, they will get something in return.
I have never heard nor has anyone else ever said that BM said an ill word about anyone. Perhaps some people are getting that confused with having a difference of opinion. Perhaps BM doesn't support financing private business with taxpayer's money? He's not alone if he does.
Just like some people are in favor of supporting REMS with taxpayer's money. I, and many others don't. Especially when there is a private, successful, self sustaining business that can do it, and do it better, without a dime of taxpayer money.
I don't think people are trying to piss anyone off by saying they are against financing REMS. Just a difference in ideology.

Bumble, have you turned into a Liberal? Honestly...who's asking for quid pro quo here? If by "something in return" you mean not being called a pissant, then I guess boomer was looking for that.
Funny that the NNTP candidates put their stock in so many insignificant pissants, then criticizes them after the fact.
And for you, to not point out Brad's err - instead, you concoct a BS distraction. What a shame...
Sorry Bumble--you too are acting like a dolt. NOBODY was asking for a quid pro quo. The question I posed had to do with being directed to the information that provided incentives for businesses in the community. Far cry from your BS response. Don't turn this into what it is not. Something in return from Rotterdam or its politicians LOL
BM acted inapproriately and you're backing that up. Maybe that's why you're not in office Bumble.
And maybe you don't want to fund private business with taxpayers money. Also the Little League and other community organizations should stop asking the small private business people for donations too. Go to the chain and big box stores and see how long you have to wait for a donation. Small business carries a lot of these groups. Shame on you Bumble.

Boomer is a big girl. She can handle it herself.

And I'm not in, nor ever was, nor ever will seek any elected office. Between my job and my family, I already have a full plate.
As far as incentives for businesses, I believe that there are some already out there. Such as PILOT and EMPIRE ZONE. Do I agree with matching facade grants for businesses from the IDA.....no! I believe that all of the businesses that go to the IDA are not 'industrial'. I thought that is what the purpose of the IDA was....no?

Small businesses support community organizations and a community supports small business. That's the way it should be. But it shouldn't be the role of the government to support businesses with taxpayer's money. Especially when taxpayers are having a hard enough time just supporting themselves and their families.
Seeking hand outs from the government is becoming too readily available today. The desire for hard work and sacrifice seems to be a lost virtue these days. Dependency on government is becoming the norm and this is what the younger generation is learning from this generation. IMHO

I'm not here to give a hand-out to small businesses/big businesses or any freakin' bailouts......I own a home that I pay taxes on....
WHAT IS THE VALUE/WORTH OF THAT TAX?????
Where are the sewers/sidewalks/lighting etc as foundation for the businesses???? All I see is willy-nilly developement with no future plans and a quick buck!!!!!!!!!
I'm all for small businesses and big businesses.....but my job is to pay taxes for the support of all.....NOT A FREE DAMN RIDE.......
