Tens of thousands of dollars are stolen from a local ski resort. Now police say they have made arrests.
Police say these two men, Richard Whiting and Steven James, both of Schenectady were involved in a string of burglaries in Rotterdam over the past three months.
Police say they also included a third man, David Oliver, to allegedly steal $32,000 from a locked office at Maple Ski Ridge back in February.
Let me guess!? This will be blamed on the Republicans since the Maple Ski people are firmly Democrat and backed the Conliberaltives last fall? LOL
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

ROTTERDAM Police: Trio took $32K in Maple Ski Ridge break-in BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter
The Maple Ski Ridge lost most of its late February proceeds after a pair of workers and a Schenectady man allegedly broke into the lodge off Mariaville Road and looted an office filing cabinet of $32,000. The three men then spent most of the cash at two area malls and on a trip to Florida last month, according to police. “They took a vacation, they bought clothes and they bought computers,” said Rotterdam police Lt. Michael Brown. “They went on a shopping spree.” Two of the men and another man were also implicated in a string of burglaries that occurred in Rotterdam over the course of three months. The men stole everything from flat-screen televisions to rifl es to drugs since their first burglary on New Year’s Eve, police said. They were arrested earlier this month. Former Maple Ski Ridge worker David Oliver, 20, of Hamburg Street, was charged with burglary and grand larceny in connection with the burglary at the lodge. Coworker Steven James, 26, of Edgewood Avenue, was charged with six counts of burglary, five counts of grand larceny and one count of criminal mischief. Richard Whiting, 21, of Schenectady, was charged with six counts of burglary, four counts of grand larceny and one count of criminal mischief in connection with the case. Also arrested was Joseph Borzymowski, 23, of Mariaville Road, who was arrested Friday on charges stemming from the burglary of a Dunnsville Road residence. The Maple Ski Ridge heist occurred sometime during the overnight hours on Feb. 28. Oliver and Whiting forcibly entered the ski area’s offices as James stood lookout, according to police. On-hand cash receipts from lift ticket and concession sales hadn’t been deposited for a couple of weeks. Kate Michner, a spokeswoman for the small family-owned ski area, said a miscommunication meant the money wasn’t deposited at the bank on the eve of the theft. ..................>>>>..............>>>>...............http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01201&AppName=1
